Apple Magic Keyboard: Keyboard and Case — White

I love my iPad Magic Keyboard. I am using it to write this review, and it is very comfortable and easy to use. It pairs seamlessly with your iPad, which was a big motivating factor for me with buying this keyboard. I did not want to deal with pairing a Bluetooth keyboard. With this, you literally just throw your iPad on and it’s ready to go. The materials it’s made out of are quality and soft to the touch. The part that you attach your iPad to is lined with some kind of felted material, which is nice. I also love the appearance of this keyboard and the way it folds up nicely like a laptop. As others have mentioned, the keyboard is not backlit, but I don’t really mind that. I got the white keyboard and find that the keys are easy to see and identify anyway. In spite of the high price point, I’m very glad I went with this keyboard over a competitor’s. It’s just so much more practical.

Pretty darn good. Of course it's an Apple product, so the aesthetics are great and the construction is top-notch. It's a little on the heavy side (I think it has about doubled the weight of the iPad) but the keys are adequately clicky and the touchpad works well. Overall, worth the price if you're going to be using your iPad instead of a laptop.

I bought this Apple Magic Keyboard for my 11-inch iPad Pro (4th generation) when it stopped charging from the port. I replaced a much heavier keyboard that I had been using for several years and love this one, not only because it is lighter weight, but much thinner, too. The magnetic attachment makes it easy to remove the iPad from the keyboard when necessary. Yes it is a little pricey, but I felt like it was a good buy to extend the life of my older iPad.

Love this, it works exactly as it should and it charges through the iPad both ways. Pretty awesome and it links wirelessly once it’s attached the magnet with the MagSafe on the back of the iPad. It is definitely a whole lot more expensive than the generic brands but absolutely worth it.

It’s smooth and easy to use. Love the fact that you can charge your iPad through the keyboard. I got the black one and I love it. It does add a lot of weight to my iPad Air but it’s solid and feels almost like a laptop. Strong magnet and the material feels expensive. My issue is the keyboard does not have a backlight. Only light I see is the one on the “Caps Lock” button. That would’ve made this perfect but for the price, it’s not worth it if you’re on a budget. If you have the money and like Apple products, then get it. It feels complete with this.

This is great keyboard and case for my ipad! It's very easy to use and set up. The keyboard feels a lot like my macbook's keyboard, just smaller. At first I didn't want to spend the money for this keyboard so I bought a generic bluetooth keyboard. It was always losing connection, which made it very frustrating to use. This keyboard isn't blue tooth, it's connected using Apple's Smart Connector that connects with those 3 small magnetic pins on the back of the ipad. Don't waste your money on the bluetooth keyboards...you will regret it! Only one downside is the keyboard isn't backlit but that's a small price for a dependable connection.

This Magic Keyboard makes the iPad feel much more useful for typing, notes, and everyday work. The keys feel comfortable, the trackpad is smooth, and the floating case design is easy to adjust on a desk or table. It is a polished accessory if you use an iPad Air for more than casual browsing.

Really great keyboard. Very convenient that it has a charge port, and that it’s easy to take the iPad out to use without a case. I agree with some of the reviews that it can be top heavy on my lap, but I still use it on my lap and have never had it fall off or anything. On my lap, I do treat it a little more carefully than I do my laptop PC. It’s great for typing and does make it close to the feel of a laptop. The mouse action on the iPad doesn’t quite feel like a laptop but it works fine once you adjust to it. Hard to explain but with the mouse it feels slightly harder to pinpoint the spot I want in a Word file, but then it doesn’t matter because I can tap the screen to put the cursor where I want it. No problem with battery life. So glad I have it.

I wasn’t 100% sure exactly which case I would prefer so I tried this one as well as 1 from ESR, the Logitech combo touch and folio touch. Out of all of them this one is the best quality. The new material the combo touch is made out of is awful. The material for the folio touch is good and the track pad feels better than the combo touch. None of them come close to the track pad on the Magic Keyboard or the typing experience. The weight is similar between all of them give or take but in terms of how they feel and the build quality its not even close. Keeping this one and bought a tablet cushion in case I want to just put the iPad on my lap without a keyboard. I have a lap board that I use most of the time on the couch and it feels like having this on a mini desk. Best option for my use case for sure. Very happy with my purchase.
