How do I emove the case to change the battery?

Remove slide cover. Place calculator face down. Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove screws from back case. Install new batteries positive side up, as shown on diagram inside case.

Will it provide inverse calculations?

Yes, it has inverses for most of the functions it provides. Press the green [2nd] key to access the functions printed in light green above the other keys, e.g. [2nd] [sin] for sin-1, the inverse sine function.

is there memory function?

One of the reasons I have been using this model calculator for the last 20+ years is because it DOES have a memory. You can store up to 3 values by simply pressing STO and then 1, 2, or 3. To Reclaim the stored value press RCL and then 1, 2, or 3.

Does this new ti have a hard slip cover like my old 1995 ti-30x has? I keep mine in my toolbox next my hammer & the hard cover protects the keypad.

Yes it does! As well as some instructions in the hard cover slip.
