Baieido - Bikou Kobunboku - 250 Sticks

The sticks come in a lovely box nd an inner paper, a lot of care has gone into product n presentation, very Japanese. The scent is subtle compared to Indian n Chinese sticks, very pleasant scent nd not over powering. I watched documentary on how they are handmade for over 300years, pulled, stretched nd air dried in breeze. More work than I imagined. Slow delivery so order in advance.

I have been using the green colour box same name product. The product arrived today, I found it is much lower quality compared to the one I am using, the scent is different.

I can't seem to get enough of Baieido's incense sticks, but these Bikou-Kobunboku replaced my prior favorite Baieido Kobunboku Tokusen (still my now second favorite). The scent is similar to the K. Tokusen, but Bikou-K. has a slightly more subtle sweetness to it. This is not at all floral, nor powdery scented. (Bear with me as I'm not good at trying to describe these scents because they are not native woods to the United States, and I've never been to Japan from where these ingredients are sourced.) There's a delicate aloeswood scent with a subtle top note that I can't quite identify, which I can describe only as being a soft, inobtrusive sweetness. My only complaint is that I can't seem to find it on Amazon in a 490 stick box; I believe this is a 160 stick box. I like burning two sticks at a time, upright in my little porcelain bowl of sand and incense ash. The scent lingers for hours, into the next day, but it's not at all a strong scent. The sticks burn in about 20 minutes. If you're all about fine Japanese incense, ignore the price tag and buy this; you won't regret your purchase!

Honestly I'm not a fan of the normal nag champa that seems to be everywhere. I do enjoy a lot of different Japanese brands and this is no exception. Very full, musky scent and makes me feel as though I'm deep in a cedar forest. Lasts about 30 minutes, great for meditation or offerings.

Excelente, si te gustan los aromas suaves y sutiles. Calidad de lo mejor nada que ver con los inciensos baratos. Viene muy bien cuidado el producto con mucho mimo, además la caja es preciosa. Muy recomendable.

Prodotto di alta qualità, Baieido è una delle marche più famose di incenso giapponese. I bastoncini sono più corti di quanto mi aspettassi (13 cm circa) ma bruciano per una mezz'ora abbondante. Come tutti gli incensi giapponesi hanno un profumo molto delicato che tende al "legnoso", quindi se siete abituati agli incensi indiani che sono molto forti e floreali potreste esserne sorpresi. Il profumo ha delle note balsamiche, ricorda un po' il Palo Santo. I bastoncini fanno poco fumo e il profumo delicato è ottimo per profumare una stanza, anche con le finestre chiuse non dà mai fastidio. Infine, anche la confezione è molto bella.
