Excellent Quality and Fit
This is an excellently crafted jacket that I wear in โifyโ spring and fall weather. The jacket is warm and serves as a great windbreaker. It sports a sculpted fit and has many useful pockets. The best feature for me is that the zipper releases at the bottom when seated in a car so that the jacket does not bunch up at the waist. Makes for a very comfortable driving experience. Definitely would purchase this item again.

Great quality!
Got it at a good price, he loved it. Its goo and comfortable for the coldest day at Orlando. Dont think it would deal with NY weather tho. Runs at true to size.

Okay for the money, less bad than the Columbia Ascender
I was also considering the Columbia Ascender softshell jacket, but chose this instead because 1) it felt warmer, 2) it was more of a slim fit (the Ascender is more boxy), 3) the price was lower and 4) I didn't like how prominent the white logo was on the Ascender. Quality-wise they seem about the same, but only time will tell. There are a few things I don't like about the jacket. The collar is a bit stiff and because of that, it sometimes pokes my chin (the Ascender is the same in this regard). The label at the neck is scratchy and annoying, so I removed it by cutting out the stitches with small scissors. The sleeves are a bit narrow, which makes it hard to get a long sleeved shirt through without the sleeves getting bunched up. But that's part of getting a slimmer fit. Finally, the color is not really black. It is more of a dark, charcoal grey. The Ascender was a much truer black, and better in that regard. I can wear the jacket with just a t-shirt underneath and be comfortable at ~60F. Colder than that and I'd want to layer up. It does seem to be pretty effective against wind and rain, but I haven't really tested that yet.

Sizing/fitment is spot on and perfect pockets
It's thin lightweight coat, but hear me out. I got it late winter/February, so I can't speak on how it handles 15ยฐ temps that it's not designed for anyways. I buy these type jackets a size big to layer with when needed, and apparently it's below low 40s before I'll need to do that. That being said, it's crazy warm for how thin it really is and being a hot natured guy. Has plenty enough room for a thick long-sleeve, and another thinish zip up hoodie, plus a T shirt. If you layer, you're already used to the cumbersome feeling from doing that anyways. Sleeves are plenty long enough, even at full reach and the length is almost perfect to not show the belt/"appendix area".. wink wink.. at normal wear of the pants line. Pocket holes fit your hands very well, and the pocket design is perfect to keep everything from dumping out when you sit, with almost a full pinky length of downward material as a catch all before the zipper. The outter chest pocket fits a standard sized phone very well, and has plenty of access room. I'm a little iffy on the ruggedness of the material being in the property clearing field of work, but I'm sure it'll hold up just as well as the others with the same material. Zippers are buttery smooth and seem like they'll stay zipped just fine, I hardly zip the hand pockets anyway, and the chest hasn't fell down yet. Hopefully they'll still be available when I need to replace it, and I'm strongly considering buying a few more just incase. This is all based off first impressions, fitment testing, and 1 solid day of wearing on a low 40s rainy day. P.S. no water resistant jacket is waterproof, but it'll keep you dry enough for typical wear. If you want bone dry, I'd suggest searching umbrellas or rain gear.

Just as good as the fancy name brands
This is a great light jacket. Comfortable, looks good, fits great, good quality. I'd never heard of this brand before this purchase but now I'll go back to them for future jacket purchases.

Sleek and windproof with drawstrings for blistering winds
Soft shells are the winter layer you are missing. This goes over the hoodie and thermals and under the carhartt. I had a soft shell before but some firework antics charred it up good. The waist drawstrings are the big seller tho. I am a 6โ4โ string bean and bought M size. Sleeves are plenty long but the bottom will show a hoodie below it. IM so skinny I need length not width so Medium it is.
