Edited to add that the company contacted me, was so very pleasant, and replaced the collet/adapter quickly. I adjusted the review. Customer service is amazing! I originally gave the product a 3 as the little chuck adapter thingy broke almost immediately. I managed a work around but I was a bit put out that I was all ready to work up a pile of things and the adapter thing breaks right away. It took a while to figure out the work around and substantially slowed my day. The drill bits themselves seem to be of good quality for the price.

Drill rocks like a banshee..Works best with water…

These are the best drill bits I've found for drilling into rocks for Jewelry attachments. Like bales, jump rings, and earrings. The drill bits are coated with small diamond particles bonded on with some sort of plating. My one complaint is that there will always be a couple bits in the package that our duds, and won't drill into hard rocks at all.

Had to drill a hole through a small, half-inch thick smooth river rock. Not sure what kind it is (maybe basalt?). I placed the stone in a small container of cold water, chucked the bit in a Dremel, and using very little pressure I just let the bit do the work, pausing every 20-30 seconds to clear the hole and keep the bit from overheating. It took about 10-12 minutes but eventually it bored right through. A couple of observations: 1 - I was trying to center the hole but the bit wandered off to the side. I was drilling freehand and do not have a drill press or other means to center the stone, so any suggestions are appreciated. 2 - There's quite a bit of chipping where the bit went in (first photo), less so where it came out (second photo). The exit hole is also wider than the entrance. Neither of these are an issue for me in my application, but any suggestions to avoid this are welcome. So far, I have used only one bit just this once and it performed as advertised. By following the procedure as described, I expect these should last me a long time. Your mileage may vary.

Does not work as advertised. I question the validity of the other buyers that talk about how great it is. It barely even scratched the rocks I tried to drill. It didnt mater what RPM or lubrication used, they dont work.

All of the photos showed them drilling stones without water, but the package states Do NOT Run Dry. The seller contacted me and gave me a full refund after hearing my complaint. You have to use water with these bits.

The actual diamond bits are good. Had one snap but i don’t think I had it in the Dremel far enough. The Collet however-which is the supposedly brass piece that fits into the end of the Dremel to hold the drill bit. Was a piece of crap. It broke literally seconds after I tried to pull it out of the drill. The sides just snapped right off so i had to get new ones. Over all once i had that better collet piece and if you use the bits properly they’re good

Only drilled one hole, but in a piece of granite for a pendant. It worked perfectly
