You should really fill a big gap with stainless steel wire wool first,

Does this stop water penatration

Indoors it does for a short while (I sealed around the chimney in the loft until I got a roofer in as I had leak/break in the flashing on the roof) but if open to the elements it will degrade quickly. To stop water penetration there are better products out there such as paint on rubber and concrete floor sealant etc...

Can you use again after you have used once or will Nobel block

Can use again, BUT time is limited as the application tube/pipe blocks quickly.

Is this safe to plug the gap around hot pipes from a gas boiler in the hot press

I don't really understand what a hot press is, but if you read the instructions that should give the information required. I believe the product is heat tolerant.
