I’ve used a few different pool vacuums and this is the first one I actually trust to get everything clean before a pool party. The fact that it’s corded is a big plus for me. No worrying about battery life or whether it’ll make it through the full clean. I just plug it in and it runs until the job is done. The suction is strong and it picks up all the debris I usually have in the pool like leaves, sand, and bugs. I use the Ultra Clean mode before guests come over and it always looks great. It also scrubs the walls and waterline, which makes a big difference in how clean the pool looks overall. The auto-dock feature is really convenient too. When it’s done, it moves to the edge of the pool so it’s easy to pull out without getting wet. I’ve had good experience with Poolmate products before and this one lives up to the same standard. I would definitely recommend this one if you want something reliable and easy to use.

I was all excited about getting a new pool cleaner as I had a Wybot and have had nothing but problems with the battery charging. We have had it sent back and returned which took months and the battery has died again after a month. I received the corded Poolmate 4SE with high hopes that the corded version would not have the same draw back as the cordless units out there. Unpacked the unit, which was well packaged and went to put it in the pool. Connected it up to the power unit and powered on, no problems thus far. I connected the unit to the Bluetooth app with no issues and put the cleaner in the pool. Again no problems up to this point. Decided to watch the unit for a few minutes clean.....This is when all went south. The cleaner cleaned beautifully on the walls for about 5min then just stopped at the bottom of the pool, no movement. I pulled the unit up with a hook and low and behold no lights on the cleaner. Moved the power box to a different outlet in which my salt generator is powered and working fine, again no lights on the cleaner and not connecting through Bluetooth, due to the lack of power to the unit. Used a volt meter to check the power coming out of the power box, one pin has 26vdc nothing on any of the rest of the pins. Bottom line is the unit is DOA, this is not a good start in my book for the Poolmate brand. I have scheduled a return on this product and will assume at this point this is a lemon unit. If anyone from Poolmate reads this I would hope the QC process will be changed so that this doesn't happen very often, otherwise it will be another pool robot brand that will not be around very long.

I've had a polaris for over 10 years. I've learned its quirks and can manipulate it to do its job. Its starting to act funny so I wanted to try something more digital and the reviews seems like it was decent for the price. It is sleek, it has potential but it did not function as I would like it. My pool is 40x20 feet, my deepest end is 12 feet. It started off and vacuum my shallow side. But stops after 2 hours. Thats when it gets quirky. It wont just continue if you turn it on and off. It starts getting a bit erratic. The app is bizarre, you connect via bluetooth and "program" it but again it wont go more than 2 hour. It disconnects from bluetooth immediately when it gets in the water. I program it to do my floors but when I try submerge in the pool it stays afloat and wont go down the goes haywire and gets itself tangled up. The dirt and leaves are still in the pool. It did pick up some debris but its not functional half the time. I need something that would actually do what it says its going to do. I am in the process of returning and hoping I will get my money refunded.

Bought this unit after a lot research. It is replacing a pump and a 4 wheel cleaner. Extremely pleased with the performance, quality and operational options. Amazed at the amount of sand/dirt it collected as well as leaves, twigs and such. The tethered electrical cord doesn’t bother me; I know the unit will perform at 100% whereas a battery operated unit loses its power as the battery wears down.

Updated to add, manufacturer is very responsive and helpful to correct the problem. Vacuum suction is OK but after a few months of use the cord has become so tangled it reduces the reach as the vacuum isn't powerful enough to untangle the cord through motion. I'm also unable to manually untangle the cord it is stuck. A better quality cord would greatly improve this product. I would not recommend purchasing.

I had such high hopes for this pool cleaner, after one hour it stopped working. The power supply was no longer there, my husband checked it with his meter and there is no power. So very disappointed :(
