Ray-Ban RB3016 Clubmaster Classic Square Sunglasses for Men for Women

So I agonized over the decision to buy these for at least a week...maybe two. In the end I ordered the mock tortoise Clubmasters which have the 49mm bridge, and I am thrilled with what I got. I was worried about the following:Q. Would they fit my face? Could I pull off the style? A. They fit perfectly. I have a small head (hold the sophomoric comments) which measures 7 1/8, and I was afraid these would be too big for my face from the pictures I saw. In fact, they fit my face exactly as I would have hoped. They look neither too big nor too small. As for the style, they're classics. They don't fit your face...your face fits them. It just happens. I can't imagine anyone not looking great in these.Q. Do they have the G15 lens, and should I insist on polarized? A. These do have the G15 lens, which Ray-Ban calls a green tint lens. I wasn't sure what I would get because the description doesn't call it out specifically, and the pictures certainly look like a black lens. The optics in the Clubmasters are insanely clear. You see a slightly greenish tint from the inside out, and the rest of the world sees black from the outside in. Looking at these lenses, I can immediately spot the difference between an over $100 and an under $100 pair of glasses. The green tint is quite subtle, and is hardly noticeable. Also, they are not polarized, which I think is a good thing. I have a pair of $15 polarized Wally World specials, and I use those for outdoor activities which are potentially dangerous for my Clubmasters.Q. Will I get a pair made in China? Will those be knock-offs? A. My pair unabashedly says "Made In China," and the quality is stunning. They are well-built, all the connections are tight, and both lenses sit tightly in the frames (no issues with a loose lens as others have commented on here). Anyone who has done just a little bit of research on these knows that the Clubmasters are now made in China instead of (or in addition to) Italy. China is like any other country: with the right management and workforce, they can churn out some good stuff. And apparently Ray-Ban has some great ex-pats running their factories, 'cause these are rock solid. I would absolutely buy another style of Ray-Bans made in China. They are that good. I looked at these under a microscope (metaphorically speaking) for all the tell-tale signs of counterfeit, but I was just wasting my time; these are the real deal. I'm 34 years old, and these are the first sunglasses that I have owned that cost more than $20. You bet I looked them over real good.Other thoughts: I'm used to curved sport sunglasses which sit nicely on top of your head when you head indoors. Sitting on your head will not do for the Clubmasters, due to their shape. It's awkward to go indoors, because the question is what do you do with your $150 sunglasses (that we smart folks on Amazon paid $50 less for) so that you don't scratch them\lose them\break them? Don't know; haven't figured that one out yet.The straw derby/panama hat craze is in full swing right now. Not my thing, but I seem to see them on everyone. These would look absolutely authentic and correct sitting just below a short-brimmed straw panama/derby. Classic, classic look.

I bought these from iFrames for $115 with free international shipping, it has higher cost than the others but if you include others' shipping cost, it would be well above the $115 since I live in Hong Kong.It arrived on the last day of the delivery schedule, with good packaging - I would have preferred it to arrive early but it arrived on time with free delivery, so I can't complain.As for the glasses itself, it is quite good build. The hinges were tightened stronger than I would have preferred but I expected it when it came out of the factory - it just shows that this is a new product instead of a returned goods or second-hand. The whole sunglasses are clean, only my fingerprints after 5 minutes when I was checking for authenticity.To my surprise, it doesn't say "Made in China/Italy" on the right temple arm. It just says "RayBan T______ CE". It took me awhile searching the internet to know that some Clubmasters are like that. I don't know the reason for this lack of manufacturing origin but I definitely prefer this over the "Made in China" prints - just personal preference.Also, being my first ray ban, I researched it knowing that there should be a lazer "RB" logo on the left lens. For the first 5 minutes, to my horror, I thought these were fake when I couldn't find/see it. Then I saw a guide from: http://www.dudegadget.com/2015/06/How-To-Spot-Know-If-A-Ray-Ban-Is-Original-Authentic-Genuine-Not-Fake-Guide.html saying that you could only see the "RB" lazer logo from the INSIDE of the lens. And voila! There it is. It is a very fine print and hardly noticeable until you use a light to reflect it at an angle to see it. You definitely won't feel it when you touch it either. It just shows this piece of sunglasses are genuine.I definitely recommend the Clubmaster, it is good quality and fashionable - but not too exaggeratedly fashionable to look stupid. It goes well with my suits.P.S. It even came with a freebie cloth from iFrames, I know the cloth probably cost nothing but it was a good gesture. Thanks.

I admit it I am a bit of an impulse shopper. That is, sometimes I will see something and know that it seems like it is for me. The moment I saw this style of Ray-Ban sunglasses I was hooked. I was not sure I was hooked for 150.00 dollars at full retail price. There is an elegant and classic look to the Clubmaster. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. These are the real deal bought at a more reasonable price. Do not worry that some Ray-Ban glasses are being made in China now. There is still the same first class build quality to these glasses. The green tint really adds to the sharpness and crispness of focus. Last Saturday I drove 200 miles round trip in my convertible on a sunny day and these glasses were just the ticket so to speak. They do not feel bulky on one's face. It should be noted I am short of stature and a fairly lean build person so the 49mm glasses look good on my face. These glasses are perfect for dress our casual. The sure sign of a classic are those items which fit every situation.

I just received a pair of the 49mm W0366 Tortoise/Arista Gold (G-15XLT Lens). Always wanted a pair after seeing them in Reservoir Dogs. I've been looking at them for awhile at Sunglasses Hut after I lost my wayfarers, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger for $144 at the store. Saw them on here for $86.00 and it seemed too good to be true, especially after reading some of the negative comments regarding their legitimacy or build quality. After some research and with the return policy Amazon has on these I figured I'd give them a shot anyway. Here's my synopsis:1. Delivered in 4 days with Prime (over the weekened)2. What I received was exactly what the product description said I was getting (these are not a cheap knockoff)3. They are EXACTLY the same as the ones I compared them to at sunglasses hut. (I went back to check.)4. Build quality is what you'd expect from RB... high quality plastic/ metal / lenses5. These particular frames are made by Ray Ban in China not Italy. Do some research instead of spread ignorance, they are still legit RayBans6. Make sure you try on a pair first to decide what size/shape lens you need.Still can't believe I happened upon such a deal with these shades. I hope I was able to clear the air and get some people off the fence deciding whether or not these are worth it...I'm glad I decided to get them and I definitely would againCheers

Love this style. Ray Ban had one years ago called "Nerd" in white, and I was bummed when they were stolen in Palm Springs. I couldn't replace them as the style was discontinued. The Clubmaster has a little larger lens but is similar.I have a wide, square, high cheekbone face with virtually no nose bridge. Glasses usually sit on my cheeks, fog up, and leave deep half-circle indents on my cheeks. The nose pads on these glasses raise them off my cheeks. They are heavy, since the lenses are glass, but because they're glass they don't get scratched like the Maui Jim's do, so I don't have to be as careful with them. Putting them in your pocket won't ruin them unless your keys are in the same pocket. Because they are heavy, the nose pads leave big dents in my nose and aren't comfortable for very long periods.I only gave these 4 stars because the case is not brown but black. Not as shown in the pictures.

I have owned original Bausch & Lomb Clubmasters, and two knock-offs -- one of them actually quite good -- and I would place these second only to the original B&Ls. I preferred the B&Ls because they were slightly heavier, slightly more substantial. While I recognize that heavier might be a bad thing for most people (and even for me as time goes on), I really liked the substantial feel of the B&Ls.That said, these are very well built and cleanly finished, and the optics in them are spectacular -- easily the best glass I have ever had in a pair of sunglasses. By my recollection, the glass is entirely on par with the originals. So if you've ever wondered if Ray-Bans are worthy of their price tag, put a pair on back-to-back with your drugstore sunglasses, and prepare to be amazed. The glass alone is worth the price of admission, and you will never want to go back. And hey, retro chic style is just a bonus.
