Fanstastic quality, reliable brew, and deliciously smooth percolator.
Great quality, makes fantastic coffee, and is easy to clean. I love this and it has quickly become the daily way for my family to have coffee. I love how easy it is to use each time, how consistent the brew is, how measurable the water and beans are, and how useful it is on any cooking surface. I take this with me camping, in hotels, and wherever else I go.

Iconic Italian Coffee Maker for Beginners and Pros
Perfect brew capacity for 2 people or 1 person who likes two strong lattes throughout the day (me). Easy to use, timeless Italian design and quality. This is one of those products you know will last you a lifetime, it's just up to you to use it. The coffee quality out of this maker is FANTASTIC. Almost espresso like, but certainly a higher water to coffee ratio. Perfect straight, with a little sugar, and most milk based coffee drinks. For true beginners, the coffee quality may take a little time to dial in unless you've done some research (~30g of beans). I use mine on a gas stove, which is ideal for quickly adjusting temperatures during brewing. But an electric stove will also work. From start to pour, it takes 20 minutes at most, if starting with cold water, to make coffee with this 6 cup Moka. Perfect for those seeking a slower coffee ritual with excellent coffee quality, durability, simplicity, and sustainability. Side Note: Please don't be one of those people who only clean their Moka pot with water. Coffee oils and grime do accumulate in the top collection cup and middle filter cup. I clean mine once a week with dish soap and a soft sponge (Only with everyday use). I also ensure to remove the rubber gasket on the bottom of the collection cup and clean there too. Finally after each use and rinse, I make sure to immediately dry all components of the pot. Following this routine will prevent rancid oil from building up and overall dirty looking pot.

What can I say that millions of Italians have already said? It's the BEST
Where do I start? This is simply the best product in it's category, bar none. Moka pots in general get a bad rap as being finicky and difficult to use, but that's nonsense. Watch a few You Tube videos and see for yourself, there's nothing to it, a very short learning curve. Basically all you have to do is: 1. Boil water and pour into the base, fill to just below the valve button 2. Fill the filter with medium/fine ground coffee (Illy is too fine, IMO) and tap to level, do not tamp down 3. Place a 2.5" round Aeropress filter on top of grounds (500 for $6, just a bit more than a penny each) 4. Add a few drops of water on top of the filter so it stays in place while you screw down the lid 5. Place on medium heat, with the lid open so you can see when the "volcano erupts" 6. When it starts to sputter, take it off the heat and close the lid, wait a few minutes and pour. I have an induction cooktop and the base is aluminum so I got a Bialetti Induction Stainless steel plate All Moka pots work the same way, but be aware of cup capacity. When they are labeled "3 cup" or "6 cup" do not think of it like 8 oz cups, or even the standard 5 oz standard coffee cup measurement. They are more like 1.25 oz espresso cups, so the 3 cup model only makes 4 ounces of coffee, not even enough for one person. I returned it and bought the 6 cup model, which makes about 7.5 ounces of coffee, and it is strong enough to add a bit of water to at the end, without losing its potency. Finally, the color design. 90% of Moka pots are all aluminum, some of the trendy new ones are black, or white or have various pastel shades to match kitchen decor. This is Red and Green like the Italian Flag, (with a high polished stainless steel band between the two colors), in fact it is called the "Italia" model to differentiate it from the other ones. It is just gorgeous. Very well enameled, and cleans up beautifully with a magic eraser (don't use soap on the inside) . I bought this thinking it would just be an adjunct to my espresso maker, drip coffeemaker, Chemex pourover coffee maker (actually an excellent Agogo knockoff), and my Bodum French Press. I have had this almost a month, and have used it every day. It's that good. I first discovered this by watching a video on You Tube of Jerry Seinfeld talking to GQ about certain objects that have "quintessence", meaning that they are the finest example of their genre, and he RAVED about his Bialetti Italia Moka pot (along with things like the Bic crystal pen and Levi 501s). I was intrigued, and for $68 (Moka pot PLUS the heating plate) it just can't be beat, it's PERFECT!

Authentic Italian Coffee at Home
I am very happy with this Moka Express. It makes delicious, aromatic coffee and has become part of my daily routine. The quality is excellent, and the classic design is both attractive and timeless. It is important to clean it carefully by following the manufacturer's instructions. I simply rinse it with water after each use without using soap, as this helps preserve the coffee's aroma and flavor over time. Overall, this is a great coffee maker for anyone who enjoys strong, traditional coffee and wants an authentic stovetop brewing experience.

Excellent espresso maker
We’ve had this stovetop espresso maker for about 5 years, and the coffee quality has always been excellent. It makes rich, flavorful espresso and worked very well for daily use. The only downside is that the metal piece holding the handle is not very durable. After 5 years, it broke, and unfortunately we couldn’t find a replacement part. Other than that, we were very happy with it overall.

Excellent little stovetop coffee maker
The OG stovetop coffee maker. To start, a little misleading to say espresso maker because this lacks the pressure normally needed to make espresso, and the grind level used is different. Best to think of this as highly concentrated coffee that you can either drink a small amount of straight up that's very strong, or something you can dilute with hot water to make a regular strength cup. The pot itself feels of good quality, being all metal. Very easy to use and clean when done. It's also fairly light weight and can work on most stovetops. Overall, I have no complaints with the performance, and it makes rich and flavorful coffee. One negative I found, and this is the reason for dropping to four stars: The plastic on the handle does not do a good job of dissipating heat from the pot, making it uncomfortably hot to handle when you're taking it off the stove. If they fix this issue, it would be perfection.

Excellent moka coffee maker....
Excellent moka coffee maker.... I've had other brands of moka pots and they work well, I've always heard about Bialetti and only now do I understand what they're talking about. It's a perfect coffee maker in both construction and operation... the extraction is smooth and fluid... its extractions are perfect... it delivers exactly what the manufacturer promises.

Nice Christmas Moka Express Set
The moka express itself looks flawless and is as pictured. The cups and saucers are really nice (made by Bialetti), are impossibly tiny, and arrived without damage. It’s a really cute set for collectors and for Christmas time use for moka lovers. It’s impossible to see in the description and photos where this was made, but in person the box says made in China. Most of us know that some Moka Express pots are made in Italy, Romania, or China, so why not just mention this in the description? Overall I really like the set and would recommend it to anyone interested in a nice holiday moka pot set.

Meraviglia!

Perfect coffee, great quality coffee maker for serious coffee lovers!
Before buying this coffee maker I thought I knew what coffee tasted like... I was wrong! I had experimented with our morning coffee with a cafetiere and a regular coffee maker with our preferred Lavazza coffee, and thought it was good. After being convinced by a family member of my partner who swears by the old fashioned stove top coffee makers, and this particular long time and high quality brand, I decided to take the plunge and invest. I was not disappointed. First of all the picture seems to be of one of the smaller coffee makers as ours (the 12 cup) was substantially bigger. The coffee maker felt high quality and sturdy however when closing it tightly it is recommended to hold it by the body and NOT pull it closed with the handle as this has been known to break off. This is understandable as you want to really close it well so the force could damage the handle if that was used. The coffee maker unfortunately did not work well with our hobs but we had prepared for this and bought a pair of coffee rings to fit on top of the hobs which allow the coffee maker to sit on top perfectly. The coffee maker was well constructed and the following morning we filled to the recommended limit and filled with our Lavazza coffee. I would recommend not patting the coffee down as it seems to have problems when compacting the coffee too much, just shake and make sure the coffee is level before screwing the lid on. Then pop on the stove until it starts hissing. From our first cup of coffee we were in love, I did not know the difference could be so extreme between this, a cafetiere and even coffee shop coffee. The taste was so much more intense and rich, and every morning since we have woken up with a cup using this coffee maker. The strength is also much stronger than even leaving our cafetiere for a long time, or making multiple espressos. The 12 cup espresso maker is obviously designed for 12 Italian style cups, but we find that with relatively large "English style" mugs, my partner and I get one cup each in the morning (with milk) and I get to enjoy another, still relatively hot, cup later in the morning when he has gone to work. In all this is the perfect size for us. As for cleaning I was told by several people do NOT use any kid of soap or detergent and have stuck to that religiously. Simply slide the seal off after unscrewing (make sure to let it cool down first or you could obviously suffer some nasty burns!) and pop the filter off, then tip away the coffee and rinse. I like to use a soft sponge to clean the inside and once a week use a scouring pad with just hot water. The inside will get stained a little with coffee but any good coffee lover will tell you this is what improves the flavour over time. The only negative is sometimes the seal holding the filter on requires a knife to remove but this isn't really an issue if you are careful. All in all a stylish, sturdy and well made quality coffee maker. This has really improved our mornings as we cannot wait to wake up and make a hot cup of delicious coffee. Personally we recommend Lavazza coffee as it works really well with this proper Italian coffee maker. If you are still reading this why have you not gone and bought one of these right away! Treat yourself to a proper coffee tomorrow morning!
