Adequate for small projects.
I sold my Singer sewing machine, years ago, to downsize for moving and have regretted it almost immediately. I saw this mini sewing machine and had it in my cart for well over a month. When our daughter needed her new black jeans hemmed but didn't want them to "look homemade" I knew it was time. This little machine was a surprise especially for the price. It came with a foot petal, about 10-20 small thread rolls in varying colors with the same amount of metal bobbins to match. It also came with a plastic thimble, a very cheap pair of scissors and a really good seam ripper, a tape measure and extra needles. All for $35! My 2 major complaints are the thread kept breaking because its very cheap thread. So I had a roll of black thread and used that and was able to finish the task. The second complaint is the plug for the electricity is VERY short. Absolutely too short to reach the outlet on the baseboard. I had to use an extention cord. The only other thing is the foot pedal works very well but is very cheaply made so one must yreat with great care. The machine will, in the end, serve me well for hemming our pants/dresses and for simple craft projects but would not do well if one wanted to make your own clothes or large craft projects.

Dangerous Sewing Machine – Needle Snapped and Nearly Hit My Eye
I strongly regret buying this sewing machine. It completely failed at a basic task like sewing through denim. A machine advertised for household use should at least handle something as common as jeans, but this one struggled immediately and stalled. What is far more concerning is the extremely poor quality of the needles included with the machine. While attempting to sew a simple seam on denim, the needle snapped in half under very light pressure. One half of the needle actually shot upward and landed near my eye. That is not just a product defect — it’s a serious safety hazard. A sewing machine should never create a situation where metal fragments are flying toward someone’s face. This raises serious questions about the quality control, durability of parts, and safety testing of this product. Overall issues: • Cannot handle basic fabrics like denim/jeans • Extremely low-quality needles • Needle snapped in half during normal use • Serious safety risk due to flying metal fragment I cannot recommend this machine to anyone, especially beginners or anyone sewing thicker fabrics. The performance is poor and the safety risk alone makes this product unacceptable. Buyers should be aware that using this machine could potentially cause injury. ⚠️

Great size and easy to use!
This mini sewing machine is absolutely perfect for beginners! It’s lightweight, portable, and super easy to set up right out of the box. The dual speed feature is really helpful for learning, and the 12 built-in stitches give you plenty of options for different projects. I love that it comes with a foot pedal and a full accessories kit—it makes everything so convenient. I’ve been using it for simple DIY projects at home, and it works smoothly every time. It’s also a great size for small spaces and easy to store. Overall, a fantastic little machine that’s reliable, beginner-friendly, and a great value. Highly recommend!

Small size makes it hard to work with.
I am an experienced sewer. One of your machines indicated "good for seniors". This one is not. It's size (small) makes it difficult for old hands to manipulate. The instruction book was small and the illustrations in the book were even smaller, making it difficult for old eyes to read the "numbered" parts in the pictures. So, pretty much had to work from experience. Thread kept breaking. Was it old thread or did I have it threaded incorrectly? Hard to tell. Replaced thread with my own and it seemed to work better. Machine needle hard to thread (location, angle). I did manage to get it to work and did get my job done, but it was difficult.

Perfect for beginners
I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but this little sewing machine surprised me. It’s super cute and actually works really well for small projects. I’ve been using it for simple fixes and beginner stuff, and it gets the job done without any issues. It comes with a nice set of accessories too, which is really helpful if you’re just starting out. Setup was pretty easy, and I like that it’s lightweight and doesn’t take up much space. It’s not anything heavy-duty, but for the price and what it’s meant for, I think it’s totally worth it. Perfect for beginners or quick little projects .

Get the sewing machine lol…. You’ll like it!
It gets the job done. Greater for beginners. I know how to sew by hand but with the manual and lil help from TikTok, I was rocking and rolling. It is loud but it’s a sewing machine so it’s expected. Very much so durable and stable. All you need is a lil table and your material and it’s good to go. I will say it’s a lil fast with the peddle and I haven’t used the dial yet. However, it’s a wonderful gift.

does not work
if you are wanting to buy this for a beginner, only do so if you are trying to discourage them from ever using a sewing machine. If i could give negative stars i would. One star could have been awarded for at least turning on, however it received no power from the cord provided (no, it was not one of my 6 outlets that i tried). The foot pedal also did not work. I had to scavenge for batteries, upon finding them the machine managed to drain them in less than an hour. Within the hour that the machine did receive power from my provided batteries, it managed to make sloppy stitches, get stuck multiple times in basic thin fabric (i had to use the manual knob to finish out my row of stitches), and cause me a headache. i could have hand stitched my entire project in less time than it took me to mess around with this hunk of over priced plastic. Side note - i grew up using sewing machines, this one is just plain terrible.
