I have only been using 3 drops for my 6lb chihuahua a day. He is a very nervous dog and seems to have settled him down although he still gets very anxious when someone comes to the door so I will start with 5 drops next week and see how we go from there I do also use the respiratory drops for my older girl and they seem to be doing her good.

I think the four star average for this product is both fair and maybe under representative of what it is/does. First and foremost, this gave my cat near instant relief. That's the main takeaway. My baby is a stray. An only child of a street cat that was way too young and small to be having a litter. The mother had respiratory issues and despite vets, fixing, vaccinations and promises; My little princess has a chronic respiratory issue of her own. Nothing works short term/immediately and nothing cures it. L-lysine or Echinacea works towards getting over a bout and keeping the next one at bay, but there was never anything I could do for immediate relief from symptoms when they hit. Until this stuff. My baby can be 'coughing', I can give her this, and within 90secs the coughing is done. It's not going to help her get over her sickness. The cough will come back if left untreated. But this provides relief. That's the operating word for this stuff; Relief. Not medicine, not treatment, and definitely not cure. But relief. I wouldn't even say "support" as it is advertised. This alone won't end a bout. It's just instant relief. "Reduced discomfort" is the best and most accurate of their taglines. It does aide in recovery in the sense it gives time for things to mellow and the other things to work. It provides opportunity for recovery and improves quality of life in the meantime. I've "tried everything" as they say and this was kind of an on-the-whim purchase. I didn't research it as much as I normally would. And now after it providing the relief it does, I don't even know if I want to know the nitty gritty details. Ignorance is bliss. So I'm not gonna stand on a mountain and sing praises vouching for it in every way. Because it's up to you what you put in your pet. I will say, I give far smaller of a dose than what is recommended. The first time, with a full dose, I felt like my cat suffered some mild side effects. She seemed a bit loopy or dazed from it. "Drugged". Since then it has been 3~ drops and it still works for her. I give it straight orally too, no mixing with food or anything. She doesn't mind it at all and borderline recognizes it as something coming during coughs. No recoiling from the taste or excessive licking. There's nothing worse than seeing your pet suffer and feeling powerless to provide relief. This gave me a way to provide relief. Even if it's just a bandaid or mask; It is still relief. There's enough questions to knock off a star but enough relief to say it's worth considering.
