I used to use Biofreeze before I tried this at my chiropractor and while that was decent, this is SO much better. I am a convert for sure. In fact, I have several different types of Biofreeze (roll-on, gel, travel packs) just sitting in my cabinet because I much prefer this. I have adhesive arachnoiditis (clumping of nerves at the bottom of my spine), tension headaches (and migraines), plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, and fibromyalgia... this helps with all of the above. It is cooling for a few minutes but then provides deep lasting relief. I will caution you not to use this with a heating pad because (as it warns) it can cause altered sensitivity... meaning it makes it feel hotter than it is, which is counterproductive to its indicated use. I like to have multiple ones so I can keep one in my purse, one by my bed, and one in my downstairs bathroom. The roll-on is great to keep your hands clean and mess free. I use them every day and they last a good while. This is one of the few items that makes a difference with my pain.

This is the best product I have been able to find for pain relief that does not contain any kind of NSAID, salicylate, or turmeric, all of which cause reactions in me. I prefer the roll-on because it dries quickly and works for a long time afterward. Also, since it is clear you can apply it on visible areas of skin without it being noticeable. I’ve been using this product for several years and find it more successful in pain management Than the Product I used to use.
