Very good sump pump for the price
Our plumber recommends only Glentronics sump pump and we needed one to replace an old one in the house that was about to die. we bought this pump from amazon and had our plumber install it. Its been working well since.

High quality, reliable.
I have had one for just over 6 years now. The one I received had a broken part as mentioned by someone else. Was sent a replacement and had a plumber install it.When it came time to replace batteries, I added a second battery in parallel. It has worked well. I had the wifi option. It stopped working (perhaps a problem on my end) and I haven't looked into it.I like that the battery is hooked to a 2nd pump. I've been very happy with this as I get a lot of water in the sump during spring rains. My only complaint is that when the float triggers the pump to start, it runs for a set period of time as set by a variable resistor adjusted with a screwdriver. This is a touch adjustment and seems to vary over time. Not a very good design. Looks like this is the same model released in 2011. However it is solid and I recommend it.Would like to replace the batteries with LiFePo4 battery this time. They're not that much more expensive than lead acid now.

Easy to Install and Peace of Mind
I purchased the PS-C22 to replace my existing single 120VAC pump and give me peace of mind having a backup pump. Although I have a standby generator, the battery backup pump serves not only as a safety net if I have a problem with power but also provides me with a second pump already installed in case the primary pump were to fail for some reason. I have a completely sunk basement that's approximately 1400sq ft, around 80% finished with no walk-up built in 2003. The ground water level is below my weeping tile so my pump rarely runs except when we have heavy rainfall or snow melt. During Hurricane Sandy, my previous pump was pushing about 300gal/hr for 24hrs, peaking at 500gal/hr so both the primary and the battery backup pumps both have far more than enough capacity to handle the demand by themselves. The PS-C22 was easy to install in my existing 24"x30" sump basin with plenty of room and the directions were easy to follow. I chose to use a Group 27 Marine Deep Cycle/RV battery rather than the Pro Series 2200 battery. I didn't want to deal with transporting and handling the sulfuric acid or maintaining fluid levels. My local Lowe's store didn't carry the Pro Series 2200 but they carried what appeared to be an identical battery with the Watchdog brand and they did carry the acid. Comparing the reserve capacity of the Pro Series 2200 (182min) and the battery I purchased (180min), I should have a similar level of battery runtime. Ultimately in a pinch, regardless of which battery you get, you can charge it off the car or swap in another battery which is really nice. You just connect the fluid sensor to the positive terminal to silence the alarm. When the kit arrived and I installed it, it turned out that the primary pump controller was bad. It would properly engage the pump when the water level raised the float, however it would not disengage the pump after the water had been pumped out. It was easy to detach the float and test it manually rather than having to keep filling the basin. The backup pump's float controller was working properly. I called Glentronics at 4PM EST on 12/26 and they had a new controller out to me on 12/29 (a Saturday no less!) which I was impressed with. The customer service rep was very friendly, easy to work with and handled the otherwise frustrating situation well. I temporarily used the old float controller off my existing pump until the new one arrived, although I'm sure the DC pump would have handled the load without issue. The 120VAC receptacle for my sump pump only had a single outlet and you need two - one for the primary float controller and one for the wall wart for the 12V trickle charger. I wanted to use a surge protector anyways since this is a rather expensive purchase to begin with. A note however about the float controller: It's approx. 3.5" x 3.75" and it's three prong plug is located on the bottom in the center, which means it takes up a *HUGE* amount of space covering the other outlets on most surge protectors. Check out page 6 of the manual on their website and you can see what I mean [...]. I ended up getting a surge protector that just plugs directly into the wall, offers four outlets and each outlet swivels so that the two plugs are at 45 degree angles diagonal from each other.Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it.

Can't get one that isn't broken
I actually think I will like the product if they can get one here in one piece. So far I ordered one and had to return it because the PVC drain pipe was broken in half. The replacement arrived very quickly however it was also broken in the same place. Maybe the third one will be the charm. Ordered the third one today.

Best Sump Pump Ever
Year before last I told my plumber I wanted the best sump pump there was, as I live next-door to a swamp that drains into my basement. Last year the swamp overflowed and flooded the basement, which is 20’x20.’ There was 44” of water in it. Over the next 16 hours this sump pump pumped ALL that water out! It was a miracle. And it’s still working today. I cannot recommend this sump pump highly enough.
