Kenmore stand mixer
I like the Kenmore stand mixer, I've had it since November 2012 and so far no problems. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because it does seem to vibrate harder at times. I do always have it on a level surface. I use it for making icing and cakes, so far nothing heavier than that. The LED light over the mixing bowl is nice too. After I had written this review I had noticed the screw under the tilt back head and decided to tighten it to see if that would help with the vibration. Now it runs smoothly.

Kenmore is fine.
does what it says, yes there is a dis-information thing going on, likely from kitchenaide, and their consistently over priced products. The negative you=tubes etc, seem to be bunk, Kenmore is fine.

No good reason to buy this poorly supported clone of the popular Kitchen Aide stand mixer
I'm not sure why this item uses a design so similar to a traditional Kitchen Aide stand mixer while having slightly different hole sizes for the beater and the bowls. The front port for attachments seems to use the same dimensions as our older Kitchen Aide, but the blade and bowl attachment points are of the same design, but slight different diameters. In use this mixer is a bit louder than our older mixer, but is has plenty of power and great speed control. Given that you can find a similar mixer from the better known brand at about the same price, why go for the Sears Made in China clone? It doesn't have the long term parts support of a Kitchen Aid and Sears doesn't offer ANY accessories which fit.

A few things I liked and didn’t like about this mixer
A few things I liked and didn’t like about this mixer. Pros: •Comes with a 3 and 5 quart mixing bowls. •3 mixing accessories, Dough hook, wire wisk and flat beater. They are dishwasher safe. •Work light that my KitchenAid did not have. •Takes up less room than my KitchenAid mixer and also weighs less. •Head tilts so it’s easy to remove bowls without attachments getting in the way. Cons: •Bowls are difficult to remove from the base. •Enamel chipping off mixing blade after only 6 months. •Far louder than my KitchenAid mixer. Overall it’s a decent mixer. I prefer my KitchenAid over this Kenmore mixer just because it’s easier to use and the attachments are sturdier. Not too happy that one of the attachments is already unusable after 6 months of light use.

Durable and long-lasting, better for lighter use
I have been using this mixer for more than 5 years, and it has held up well. It is lighter than my Kitchenaid mixer, but it can be louder. It comes with multiple attachements, which are easy to remove and clean; it also comes with two bowls, which are less easy to remove. The head tilts back, which I love, and there is a light on the head, which is a feature I never knew I'd enjoy so much. It isn't quite as strong as the kitchenaid, and I have found that I use this for lighter work- frosting, light batters, etc., and use the Kitchenaid for heavier work such as thicker doughs, etc.

DO NOT BUY! Piece of Junk!
I've gone through two of these. The first one barely lasted a year. There are times when the bowl is almost impossible to remove and you might need to wear earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. I took the first one back to Sears and after a few months they decided it couldn't be fixed and they gave me a new one. This one had the same issues, Then it tarted turning on by itself and the light would flash so I had to unplug it. I think it must have faulty wiring because the last time I used it, it wouldn't turn off and I had to unplug it to add more ingredients and then it wouldn't turn on when I plugged it back in and the light was flashing. The handle broke off while trying to remove the bowl about a year ago and the paint starts peeling off the beater and dough hook after the first time you use them.

Simple, Easy to Use, Heavy-Duty Mixer
In the box you get the mixer stand/body, a 5-quart bowl, a 3-quart bowl, a flat beater, a wire whip, a coated dough hook, and the user’s manual. Everything comes very well wrapped and packaged, very well protected. No problems in getting things out, with all of it cleaned and ready to go in less than ten minutes. This unit is heavy, with a heavy stand and powerful motor. The unit is large, takes up a lot of counter space, and will take some thought to find a good place to store it. The release latch on the unit to bring the head up and lock it is easy to locate and use, but the head is not spring-loaded/assisted, so that you have to use two hands to unlock the head and move it upward. It does lock in the up position, which is good, but some simple additional design would have the head move easily upward when unlocked, with just one hand. The large dial for the motor speed is a good feature, easy to control. It has a cool, trendy back/perimeter illumination in a deep blue, but this illumination does nothing to help read the speed setting, as the index numbers are embedded in the dial. So, the light is merely cosmetic. A dial illuminated from the inside would be a better solution. We have mixed pancake and waffle batter, with no issues. Crepe batter, pizza dough, cake dough, and various pasta mixes all were a piece of cake with this unit. The bowls and attachments all work just fine. The unit is quiet in operation—nice. It’s got a nice little spotlight shining down into the bowl so can clearly see how your concoction is coming along. Documentation: You get a “do not return to the store” tag which has a Monday-Friday 1-855 customer service number. The same number is provided in the Use and Care Guide, in English and Spanish. The diagrams are very clear and very well annotated. The text is excellently rendered and very easy to understand. There is no quick-start guide, but if you’re at all familiar with mixers, this is easy to set up and get right into action. Price: This item is currently listed at approximately $230. That’s a lot, but this is a heavy-duty, multi-speed mixing machine, with lots of opportunities for expansion. This is a fair price for this item. Bottom Line: This is an investment appliance, one that you buy and use for the next 15 or more years. It is heavy-duty and easy to use. It is somewhat expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for, and this item is a quality product.

Finally!
I waited for over 5 years for this replacement part. It works and shave on Sears for taking so long to produce these.
