I taught English in Thailand and Vietnam years ago, before they became "Spring Break" vacations for Americans and Europeans. I'd almost kill for some good Laotian Sticky Rice, but this is still a good rice product. I didn't really investigate it's health benefits in comparison to other brands, but it cooks well and tastes good.

When you want a rice a notch or two above the rest, the aromatic smell and flavor of Basmati is definitely a better option

I usually make a 2.5 cup "cooked" portion for myself. I use 'salt, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried parsley, Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes and olive oil. Add some beans and/or smoked sausage and I'll tell ya...makes a great meal. Let all that come to a boil and then add the rinsed rice and cook for about 15-20 minutes on low heat or until water is absorbed then let sit for five minutes and then dig in. Next time I make it ill leave a photo.
