Didnt fit mine.
This cover did not fit my Dell. I guess I didn't read the small print where your Dell needs to be a 2011 or older. It was cheap though, So returning it seemed more expensive than actually keeping it. Ill put it in a garage sale, or throw it away. It really is useless to me. I guess it would be good for the person with the older Dell.

Good lid. Too bad it doesn't fit
Unbeknownst to me, I did not know they had different models for the 17R. I wish Dell and their subsidiaries tell the customers which model the lid fits before purchase. Too much a hassle to return. My bad for not doing my research.

Worked perfectly on my Dell Inspiron 17R
The lid slid on where the old lid was...I had to push it a little bit more to get it to fit, but it locked into place and now I have a red cover on my Dell. It's my wife's, so she is very happy as this is her favorite color.

Not compatible with my inspiron 17r
I ordered all the way from Trinidad and assumed it would have been a perfect fit. However, just like many of the other reviews, mine isn't a good reflection of the product. It DID NOT FIT!

doesn't fit Dell 17r .... TOTAL scam... whether its cheap or not if you get enough people to fall for your scam you can get rich kinda like this person..

does not fit right
This should have fit better. Mine is a 2011, and It does not fit right. It is not tight on all sides. 2 sides are loose....... The package arrived on time. Shipping was perfect. But, not the fit.

Great product, doesn't fit my Dell
This is a great product, but it doesn't fit my Dell. The model numbers matched, but the mechanism for attaching this is different than the one in my Dell. I should have sent it back, but I had already destroyed the packaging, and didn't want to exert the effort of dealing with it.

Looks nice, but...
This is telling on me - I just purchased a new Dell Inspiron 17R 5720 laptop. Nice laptop, even better with a Seagate hybrid disk drive. But I wanted to spruce it up - so I ordered this (and the Peacock Blue) cover for it... but didn't read the real fine print of which specific model it is for. Specifically - it is for 2011 model year units. Mine is a 2012/2013 model year unit with Windows 8 (may be THE real identifier, by the way). SO like the description's warning - check carefully before you click on that purchase button. Otherwise - its a beautiful cover. Wish I had the correct one for my laptop!!
