MSI B450I GAMING PLUS AC Motherboard 'mini-ITX, AM4, DDR4, LAN, USB 3.1 Gen1, M.2, HDMI, DVI-D, AMD RYZEN 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen', Black

I originally purchased this motherboard over the Gigabyte Aorus version becasuse the latter had incredibly loud coil whine coming from the VRM area during high load. Switching to MSI eliminated all noise coming from the motherboard. For the price you a getting a good amount of features, good temps, decent VRM cooling and good build quality. Installation was relatively easy, BIOS updates are easy to do and it recognized everything out of the box. Running my memory at its rated speed, overclocking is a breeze and the newest bios fixed the fluctuating temps on my R5 2600. But, above all, there isn't a sound coming from the capacitors during stress testing and this makes me very happy. 2 negativ observations on my part: this black and red look is not my favourite; the M. 2 slot is located at the back, therefore, the the temps are higher and your options to cool it are very limited.

Good, functional mITX board for small or micro builds. On board wi-fi is good with strong reception. Lots of USB 3.0 ports and header for the front panel. PCI-e slot for GPU so works as a gaming board perfectly. Only 2 RAM slots, as you would expect for a small board but still a drawback if you want more expansion options. Only 1 system fan header so you might need a splitter for more as one fan in a gaming system probably won't cut it. 2 RGB headers and the Mystic Light software is decent. Control Centre software is good and UEFI BIOS is intuitive and easy to use for clocking and adjusting settings.

Good board, all looks good, biggish heatsink keeps the vrm cool. The pcm has a mid sized heatsink but is always around 60c, maybe ths is the norm for b450s as it dose not increase by much even under high loads, 65-70 max. Working in passive fc8 case for a few months. The Msi click uefi is good and my dram runs at 2933 xmp no problem, though it will auto set the soc voltage to 1.15v when using xmp, I set it to 1.00v without issue.

Used this motherboard as part of a new Gaming PC build for the misses. Built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth worked out the box on Windows 10 and the m.2 slot on the underside is an excellent addition for a minimalist build. Excellent BIOS makes it easy to set the clock speed for the RAM and CPU making OC'ing a doddle. One thing to note however is that i had to adjust the fan orientation of the Wraith Stealth cooler that comes with the RYZEN 5 2600 as the AMD logo on the fan shroud interfered with the RAM or the heatsink on the power rail. Easy enough to unscrew and rotate 90 degrees and those using lower profile RAM will likely not find this an issue.

I did not receive my backplate or clamps with this motherboard, so i had to buy another one. It is not stated in the description that you dont receive and then you also showed that it has these in the photos. I have not tested the board yet as now I'm skeptical that it will work as it could be a used board in which i did not order or buy. Update: i have finally made a build with this and i can guarantee that this does not support Ryzen 3! As now i need to buy another processor to just start it up. Waste of money amd time!

I bought this over others because it still has a couple of USB 2.0 ports on the back, it's rare that I need them but I've had compatability problems with old devices before that didn't like 3.0 It's nice and compact, had no problem fitting anything in, overclocking is easy and the bios is nice to navigate. It also has 12v RGB mystic ports on the motherboard which I wasn't 100% sure it had until I literally looked at the board, maybe it wasn't clear in the description or on their website I'm not sure.

I do not normally write reviews for Amazon products but seeing as this is new and no one else has had the chance to I thought I should share my experience with this motherboard for others. I bought this to work with the AMD Ryzen 5 2400g APU and it works perfectly for my small form factor build inside the Fractal Node 202. I am no expert on building PCs but the board worked out of the box and includes MSI easy to use BIOS interface. If you are thinking of using this for the APU build it is recommended to use high quality RAM and I used two 4gb 3000MHz sticks that work well with the system. If you are thinking of overclocking this with a more powerful CPU then you may need to be careful with heat issues but this seems like a common issue with mini ITX builds due to the case ventilation. Bluetooth and WiFi work out of the box and perform incredibly well with the internet speeds being faster on this device than any other in the house. You can look for the previous generation of boards that may be slightly cheaper but to work with the APUs you will likely need to update the BIOS that will require one of the older Ryzen CPUs. If this is not an option for you then this is an amazingly affordable motherboard considering the other alternative are upwards of £200. Hope this helps any potential buyers.

Couldn't use my AMD Ryzen 3600 on it, because the BIOS was not updated. I was thinking, I should be able to update the bios without another CPU like some others MSI motherboard but nop. I reached MSI to know if they can maybe update the BIOS, they told me to reach the seller (that was MSI / Amazon). Amazon only give me the opportunity to get a refund.. Because of all these jokes, I returned the MSI and got an Asus Rog Strix, and I'm very happy with that one. Also the Rox Strix got an additional NVME slot, and Asus was always more reliable.

Carte mère montée dans un boîtier thermaltake core v1, avec Ryzen 5 2600 et gtx 1060 (kfa2), mémoire ram Corsair vengeance 3200MHz. Super satisfait de la carte, pour une configuration compact. Attention au sens du ventirad du ryzen 5 2600 si on monte 2 barrettes de RAM. Configuration Bios facile même quand on connaît pas trop. Au premier démarrage, si vous constaté un soucis, surveillez les Leds de la carte mère qui donnent des informations sur l’origine du problème. Prévoyez des découpleurs de ventilateurs si vous en avez plus d’un seul dans le boîtier (hors ventirad). Je recommande ! Edit: toujours parfaitement opérationnelle après 4 ans (utilisation peu intensives, quelques heures par semaine seulement) Édit 2 : Toujours utilisée sans problème 6 ans après achat

Came with all the accessories. 2 antennas, m.2 screw, i/o backplate, 2 sata cables and manual. A noctua nh-d15 chromax fits and doesn't interfere with the pci express slot or heatsinks. A second fan on top of the ram can be a problem and it get really tight with the usb 3 connector and the 24 pin. But a second fan fits after some fiddling. I use a 2400g at the moment so a second fan isn't necessary. Maby if I upgrade later. The bios is ok but nothing fancy. Bios update and windows install went fine. Be sure to plan the Motherboard install in the chassi thoroughly if using a big cooler as I did.

Ottima mobo, la uso da più di due anni con un leggero overclock. Mai dato problemi e rimane bella fresca.

Ich suchte ein Board für einen kleinen Wolpertinger (Medien über HDMI abspielenden, ansonsten universellen low power Home Server, kein high end gaming). Das MSI B450i fiel mir wegen der interessanten Kombination Ryzen mit Intel AC Wifi auf. Bei der APU hatte ich mich vorher schon wegen TDP 35w und der integrierten Vega Grafik auf einen AMD Ryzen Athlon 200ge festgelegt, bei automatisch integrierter Fortbildung in Sachen AMD. Gäbe es einen bezahlbaren AMD-Nuc mit V1000 oder 200ge hätte ich den genommen, so galt halt mal wieder: Selbst ist der Schrauber. :) Zusammen klang das B450i mit 200ge nach einem netten Paket. Die Beschaffung gestaltete sich ungewohnt schwierig, aber das soll hier nicht das Thema sein. Erster Eindruck nach nach Zusammenbau und Booten von Ubuntu 18.10 Desktop von USB3 Stick: Dieses nette "Ja!" Gefühl. Das war was ich mir vorgestellt hatte. Wlan Passwort eingerichtet, Boxen angesteckt, Firefox angeworfen, auf Youtube ein paar HD Videos angesehen, alles auf Anhieb so performant wie erhofft, super Bild, bisher null Treibergefrickel, perfekter erster "Läuft mit Linux" Eindruck. (Windows nicht darauf getestet, habe ich auch nicht vor, wäre eine andere Baustelle)

Au format mini ITX cette carte n'est pas seulement mignonne, elle est bien finie et bien pensée, sa connectique est complète (port M2 sous la carte mère ) et son aptitude à l'overclocking est bluffante. Elle gère par défaut mon 2600x à 4100mhz sans problèmes. J'ai créé des profils pour les différents usages (jeu, bureautique).
