Can pidgins get to the seeds?

Any bird that can get to the feeder can eat the seed. My experience has been large birds can’t grip on this feeder and they fall right off. The small birds can get inside of it and eat to their hearts content. Hang it in the sun and just enjoy the lighting effects that you get from it. It’s my favorite feeder.

I don’t find this easy to fill unless I take it down every time. Any tips or tricks?

Had this problem at first. Now I use a narrow scoop and place my left hand over one side of the opening, tip the feeder onto my hand slightly and pour into the other side (facing me). Then when you right it, it is as full as it will get. Hope I explained it well enough.

how long is the hanging wire?

The hanging wire is a little over a foot long and has a sturdy long loop at the top.
