Easy set-up and great monitoring tools
Title: So far so good Description: Setup was straightforward using the Nighthawk app. Anything that didn't go right resulted in guidance to get things back on track and installation took about 20 minutes as the app said it would. After installation I receive status reports about security actions the router performed to help protect my home network, a great feature that lets me know what the router is doing without wondering if it's really providing any protection.

Gives excellent wifi coverage
Our old router had to have an Orbi system connect to it to give us decent wifi coverage in the backyard. This router, which is connected to fibre at the front of the house, reaches all the way to the back fence, on a 400sm block with no issues at all.

Performs much better than the cable company supplied router.
I wanted to get a router which performed better than the one supplied by my cable company and this Nighthawk has definitely shown to be the better equipment. Very glad I purchased this.

Happy with performance, not happy my "new" router had obviously been opened.
Honestly, I regret not upgrading sooner. My 800 sq. ft. condo is framed with steel studs/thick walls and my old router signal was struggling to punch through to the front room (my office). 5 GHz was non-exist and the 2.4 Mbps was unstable mess. I swapped in this router today and went from getting 30 Mbps download speed in my office to 200 Mbps. Set up was mostly quick with the longest part being the firmware updates, which only took 15 minutes. The app to manage the router is a nice touch, though I don't know how I feel about a Netgear account being required to use it...company's got to store that information somewhere. The range I suspect would be awesome in a normal apartment with dry wall construction because it's punching through my wifi-hating walls like a beast. I can't wait for my new modem and tower wifi adapter to arrive. The router alone was a stellar improvement, but I think the addition of those two will take full advantage of the upgrade to wifi 7. My only point of frustration is that the router box had clearly been opened and the router removed. The protective plastic bag cover that goes over the router itself in the package was gone and the router looked like it had been wiped down at one point judging by the streaks on the outside of the router. Does this impact the functionality? No. However, I did pay for a NEW router. Some obviously opened this one and used it. New does not mean "looks like new," it means box is unopened and the equipment has never been hooked up. I'm happy to keep this router, but the seriously...the seller should reduce my charge to that of a "used" piece of a equipment. I risked it buying from Amazon, but this is going to be the last risk I take with networking equipment. Too many knock offs, too much bait and switch.
