just be careful when spraying because if it gets on your floor it is slippery. Otherwise great product for your money

I bought Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield to protect a new couch from spills and stains, and I’m really happy with how it worked. The application was very simple—it’s basically like using a spray paint can. I ended up using about 3½ cans to fully cover my small couch. After it dried, it did exactly what I wanted by adding a layer of protection that gives me a lot more peace of mind when eating or drinking around the couch. There are a couple of things to be aware of. First, it does darken the fabric slightly. My couch started out as a lighter gray, and after applying the Scotchgard it became a little darker. It wasn’t enough to bother me, but it’s something to keep in mind. Second, the fumes are pretty strong while you’re applying it, so definitely use it in a well-ventilated area and open windows if you can. Overall, I think it’s well worth the money. It’s easy to apply, works as advertised, and can help protect an expensive piece of furniture from accidental spills and stains. I’d definitely use it again.
