Love these clamps!
These are the nicest clamps I've ever had! They are quick and easy to use. Can be applied with one hand while holding something together. The clamping force is very strong. I've been using a pair of these for the last year or so in my new workshop and I don't know how I got along without them! It's like having an extra pair of hands to hold pieces together while drilling holes and putting in screws. I just got through putting together a workbench using the 4X4 Basics Work Bench Kit and a set of shelves on it with the 4X4 Basics Shelf Links system. I never would have been able to get it all together without being able to use these clamps to hold things while I drilled and screwed pieces together. With the rubber caps on the clamping faces I didn't have to worry about marking the finish on the pieces either like the old pipe clams or big C clamps would. And they are a lot easier to apply and remove one handed which is very difficult to do with pipe clams and C clamps. Before building my workbench I used them while putting together a 10'x10' Barn Style Storage Shed from a kit that I got from Lowe's. These things helped so much I got almost the entire project done by myself only needing help standing up the walls and decking the roof. I also used them when building several sets of shelves with the 4X4 Basics Shelf Links for my shop and storage building. And even for that these held things together for me while putting in the screws. (I used screws for almost everything that was usually done with nails) After a year of use they still work flawlessly. I like them so much I had to order this 4 pack. Now that I got them my only complaint is that I didn't order 2 packs of them instead of just the one! Since I'm retired after being a machinist for over 25 years I have a thing about quality tools, and that's what these are. They are well made and work like they are supposed to. I highly recommend these clamps for anybody's workshop. UPDATE 11/2/12 Well, now that I'm getting into using the workshop I spent the last year building and tooling up I'm now ordering another 4 piece set of these clamps. I forgot to add before that I was a little worried about these being made of,, you guessed it, plastic. But the four piece micro clamp set and the 2 piece 18" pair I got have held up under the heaviest use and the most clamping force that I can put on them. Which with my big hands, & since I'm 6'4" and 240 pounds I have pretty big hands and a very strong grip, so I can put a LOT of force on clamping these. I think they would even hold up if you used one clamp to squeeze down the clamp on another one. So again I can highly recommend these for anybody that has a workshop. Anything from your kitchen table to a small area in a back room, or a closet in a bedroom turned into a work space, or a full basement or garage workshop, and up to a full sized manufacturing company with a building covering 10 acres. Like the Halliburton shop I worked in in Duncan Oklahoma back in 1981 to 83. You need several pairs of these!

Mini But Mighty!
IRWIN quality shines through! These 6" one-handed mini bar clamps feel solid, easy to use, and built to last—just like my 10-year-old IRWIN sets. Highly recommend!

Irwin Quick Grips clamps handle the job.
Irwin quality quick clamps. Quality and ease of use. I’ve already put them to use on a project. The size ordered wasn’t the ‘mini size’ ones but the shorter full-size clamps. They still worked out great.

Favorite clamps
I love these clamps. The size is perfect. Easy to use one handed and fit in awkward spaces. My husband tends to borrow them frequently so I've purchased more. Great for my miniature projects and apparently household projects as well.

Ok clamps for the money.
I bought these 6” Quick Grip clamps together with four Jorgensen 6” clamps. The advertising for these characterizes them as “Medium Duty”, as does the packaging they came with. The Jorgensen 6” clamps are characterized as “Light Duty”, which is odd because the opposite is true. These are not medium duty clamps. The similar Jorgensen “light” clamps are far more robust, though at the time of purchase they cost about one-third more. Know that these are not dual-use “spreader” clamps. The similar Jorgensens are dual use spreaders. I kept both sets, but for the slightly higher price, I’d buy the Jorgensens; they’re by far more robust and versatile. These are cheap, but they feel cheap. The prices of each seem to vary widely by the week, so track them in your save-for-later box if price is an issue. 2026 UPDATE: I’ve worked with these now for almost three years, and came back to increase the rating from four stars to five. The reason is that I’ve used these side-by-side with the Jorgensen equivalent, and I find myself always reaching for these first, rather than for the Jorgensens, a preference that is clear. This is largely because these are simpler in design, the soft pads give you a clearer view of placement (the rubber on the Jorgensens overlaps too much) but most of all, I like the simplicity of the release trigger. It’s easy to operate one-handed and the Jorgensens often require two hands. The Jorgensen trigger location is why I don’t prefer them. The trigger location on these is far superior by virtue of being more visible and accessible.

Well build and well used
These work great for small to medium size projects. We've used them for so many projects so far, from holding forts in place for our kiddos to play in to holding garage projects together. They adjust very smooth and hold well. Very versatile.

Perfect Clamps For Most Projects Woodworking and Automotive
The best clamps you can buy. Irwin is known for quality and these are extremely easy to use. The handle is easy the squeeze and they lock up tight. They are light weight and perfect for most projects. They are very durable and will last a lifetime. Irwin's color scheme is a lot better than the generic ones out there. I bought for general wood working but they were also very useful to repair the console cover for my 3000GT. The factory glue is failed and these will help it look like new. One them is a little on the tight side but WD40 seemed to help loosen it.
