Upgrade Butterfly Knife Trainer, Practice Training Butterfly Knife Tool, Balisong Trainer Unsharpened Blade

Fun starter trainer. Very durable and smooth just hit it with some wd-40 every once in a while. It’s a little heavy which I like, as well as long. I love the metal material. Beautiful sound too

So I bought several trainers on Amazon. All different models and prices. This one was the heaviest trainer out of all of them and also about 1" longer. I weighed it at approx 4.8oz. where the others were around 3.7-3.9oz. That being said I own 4 real ones and this trainer is the closest in weight and size to the real thing. It's also one of the lowest priced out of the others. It's solid stainless and riveted with no screws that always come loose. That being said I think this one is best for adults. Initially put a few drops of gun oil on the hinges before flipping and it glides.

So besides the fact that this knife is essentially a clone it should be rated #1 on the results when you search up balisong trainer. Aside from a weak latch (which every flipper should remove their latch) the knife itself is great for flipping. I have been part of the flipping community for 3+ years, owning expensive knife after another, No this does not hold up to the grails like my Hom Basilisk but for 10 bucks this thing is a steal for the price. This my second one first one I absolutely beat everyday for about a month dropping it on concrete from pretty high multiple times a day and it still flips fine only problem is the tang pins start to fall out but u can put them back in it will just happen again which is y I got a new but this thing is a tank, lightweight, and a great beginner flipper I never owned a bali before and pretty much got the hang of it In a day or 2 with this thing would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a cheap balisong trainer better then any of the fake bm42 and cheaper

I would give it around 4.5 stars, really great quality for the price but the handles have a little play in the rivets, which is semi normal but could be a hair tighter in my opinion. Locking latch is fairly useless though, but that doesn’t really matter. This is a great trainer though! Very durable build quality

I have tried around 4 butterfly knives already and this one has probably the cleanest feeling when doing tricks. It is lightweight but still has some weight to it allowing for you to get a feel of what you are actually doing making tricks much easier for beginners to perform. The only possible complaint I could think of was just of how the handles get loose but that is expected of knives where you can't physically tighten it. However, that was only after a couple of months. This is a great balisong for beginners.

Flips good

When I first got it, it was very smooth (2-4 months) but the more I used it it got looser and looser and at one point I thought it was going to fall apart. Since it had gotten looser, the metal was rubbing against eachother and it made it harder to swing. Its really good for beginners. But its best to upgrade once it starts to loosen.
