The matcha is a vibrant green colour however it is a little clumpy compared to other matcha powers I bought in the past. It does not have a strong bitter taste. I would say it’s not the highest grade of matcha but it’s one of the better matcha in the market.

I try to stick to the spirit of matcha. It’s supposed to be a cheap tea, the cheapest you can find- and it’s supposed to be brewed with the closest care and consideration one is able to muster. Okakura kakuzo (the author of “The Book of Tea), definitely lived in a different time. A time when even the lowest cost manufacturers cared about the quality of their product. Cheap does not mean lacking in quality- and my terrible experiences with most other matcha’s on the market, lead me here. Much to the chagrin of my wallet, I purchased Matcha Moon based on accolades from “Samurai Matcha” on YouTube (a non-sponsored recommendation, from a beloved content creator) I have to say. I am thoroughly impressed. No bitterness AT ALL. Even when brewed a little too hot, or with a high powder/water ratio. This product is grassy, bright, and light. Not the “richest” of matcha’s, but certainly the most WELL BALANCED. I’m just gonna have to take the punch to my coin purse and call this a necessity. The larger quantity is a much better value than the 1oz one. I’ll try to stretch it.

This is by far the best matcha I have used. My husband first bought it for me as a gift and now I can’t go back to a different brand. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quality matcha.

This is the best Matcha I have tried, so I reordered it. Amazon must be using AI to fill orders because I received a stuffed toy vulture instead!

First of all, I like the taste. It’s not like the premium ceremonial grade that I purchased from Japan, but still good taste. Balanced bitterness if I whisk it for long enough, and I can taste a little bit sweet in the end. However, the packaging could do better. I never noticed anything about packaging for matcha powder until I started drinking this one. For some reason matcha powder would cling on the side of the bag inside, and every time I open the bag it would fly out everywhere. I suspect something to do with statics. Packaging of matcha from Japan doesn’t do that, probably because they added a step in their manufacturing process to get rid of statics. I would buy again for the taste but will also look for other alternatives.
