This is absolutely authentic moonstone.. I think some people who have left the negative reviews don't know what authentic moonstone really looks like. This store has very good prices. I definitely recommend.

I was disappointed when I've received this stone. A lot of black and no adularesce to be seen on the white parts. The size and weight were pretty much what I've expected, but the quality was not. Even in a rough, one would expect to aquire a beautiful specimen. Obviously, you don't know what you're gonna receive if you don't know the seller. I think the best we can do when shopping online is to buy from reputable sellers ONLY. Anything else is just a gamble, and most likely a fake if the seller is mostly offering different kind of merchandise and only one or two stones. I've learned this the hard way, and wasted so much time.

Moonstone 0.25 stars: Even though the stones in the listing had a minimal amount of coloration, I took a chance. It didn't pay off. The size of the stone was excellent, see the quarter for comparison; but that doesn't offset the lack of coloration. The pictures show every face of the stone, and the last shows the flat face where this was sawn from a larger stone. I have to wonder how much color the rest of the stone had? So, even though the size is good, a lot of meh is not really better than a little bit of meh, right? Serpentine 2.5 stars: The size is also good on this stone. The coloration is decent, perhaps a bit less than 2.5 stars. It's because of this that I'm averaging the rating out to barely a 2, since I don't think I can leave 2 separate reviews. My first purchases from this company. I'm not inclined to try them again. I'm not returning the stone, because to me every stone has it's own beauty, and I might even try breaking it down to two stones, because I can see the black extending deeper into the rock. But I am highly disappointed with this company.
