it works!
it has its problems, like frequent disconnection. but if you're actually reading OBDII codes for five bucks, you cant conplain. it would be spoiled to expect perfection at this price point

Steer Clear.
Could not get the blutooth to connect to my phone, but i could get it to connect to my windows computer. After connected to my computer neither of these would link to ANY of my 4 cars! This is not my first Bluetooth OBD2 reader I understand them fairly well and still have a cheap one that looks nearly identical to these and works fine. I would avoid these. NYTKL 2 PCS ELM327.

Works well with AlphOBD
They work but hard to pair with some phones and tablets , Could get to pair with the tablet style head unit running android 13 I installed to use car scanner apps . Paired well with Samsung fold 6 & AlphaObd paid verison software VERY useful for Ram air suspension problems ! Get out of Plant or limp home mode without disconnecting battery .

recommended note buying.
The problem is it comes with one CD containing old outdated software that wouldn't install on a Windows 11 laptop. Ended up downloading and paying for software. 😡 The bought software won't connect to ether module. Product is outdated worthless junk. UPDATE. Used both once then nothing stopped working.. 😡 😡 Suggest not buying. Find something up to date.

Best Value I've Seen In A Long Time
I am pleased with this product. I needed to get my car smogged and my mechanic said I needed to drive 200 mile and 15 warmups. He said that would take about two weeks! I didn't have that kind of time and went to YouTube and learned I could do what I need in less than an hour. This ELM327 unit paired with Car Scanner app on my phone showed me everything I needed to get all the test to run and I got my car successfully smogged the following morning! You can spend a lot more money on other readers but why unless you are trying to use coding options.

They work, but NOT on all OBD2 vehicles
Much to my displeasure, I found out the hard way that these extremely inexpensive units do *not* work on all of the OBD protocols. You need to know what OBD protocol your vehicle or vehicles use before buying this unit. It works fine on many modern vehicles, however on many late 90s and early 2000s General Motors and Ford vehicles (and I am sure there are others), it simply will not work.
