Good drive as described, but shipping and handling need more care
I recently purchased the Seagate Expansion 2.5 portable hard drive (5TB). Overall, the product is good, exactly as described, and I am satisfied with it so far. However, as someone with a lot of experience with hard drives, I always test them upon arrival. When I checked this drive using CrystalDiskInfo right out of the box, the SMART data had already recorded two physical shocks/impacts. Mechanical external hard drives are highly sensitive devices, and physical impacts like these can directly affect the quality and lifespan of the drive. The seller and the shipping team really need to be much more careful with the packaging and handling of such fragile electronics.Since I have only just started using it, I can't comment on its long-term durability yet. Aside from the handling issue during transit, everything else is working fine.

User

Reliable good storage
...just what I hoped for...I use this as a backup storage for my laptop. I teach a scripture class online for my church, and I have several power points. I'm able to store weekly PowerPoints with no issues. I have plenty of room to add many many more. I had no issues with the files transferring to the portable hard drive.
