This supplement was purchased for my 12 year old labrador retriever with advanced arthritis in just about every joint in her body. In hind-sight the arthritis started when she was young, though I had thought at the time it was a sprain that kept getting aggravated. Starting treatment when the arthritis was advanced was an up-hill battle to say the least. She's been on multiple medications, before starting this supplement she was taking the injectable Adequan (pricey), rimadyl twice daily, ultram 3-4 times daily, turmeric as a natural anti-inflammatory, cetyl myristoleate, lemon balm caps to help as a natural anti-inflammatory and ease some of her anxiety because she cannot exercise it off anymore. With all of those medicines on-board, she was still losing functionality and range of motion in her joints, and walking was becoming increasingly difficult. I neglected to continue my lab on a glucosamine based supplement because of poor success in the past, and because cetyl myristoleate is supposed to be more effective. This was not the case with my lab I can definitely say. I ordered this product out of desperation when looking for a natural pain reliever for my dog, and thought if this helped with her pain the glucosamine and chondroitin surely wouldn't hurt. A few days after starting the medicine we noticed a big difference. No my severely arthritic lab is not jumping around or even able to jog/run for that matter, but her walking is obviously better and she's able to walk longer before the limping starts. This product has definitely made a huge difference and I'm expecting the results to continue and hopefully enable us to exercise her more without causing severe pain. Speaking from experience, start your canine friends on a supplement EARLY! I cannot emphasize this enough, I wish more than anything I had started a quality joint supplement at the onset of her mobility issues, sprain or not, seven years ago. Arthritis is deceiving in the beginning, they'll be a day where walking seems painful, followed by a few days where your dog might look fine. This gives a false sense of security. Start young at the onset of any issues, preferably start young BEFORE issues happen and joint damage occurs. Do not be fooled by the good day/bad day trick, joint damage is occuring, arthritis is slowly taking hold, buy a supplement such as this and give religously. Note: I rarely review products, I don't think I've ever reviewed one to this extent, I legitimately appreciate what this product has done for my old girl, and hope some can learn from my mistake and start a product such as this before it's too late.

Works awesome for our 12 year old lad

My five year old Golden was diagnosed with mild to severe hip dysplasia at 8 months. I couldn't afford double hip replacement surgery, nor reconstruction surgery, so I opted for high quality supplementation instead. While she has an odd gait, and can sometimes become a bit stiff after over exercising, she has remained happy and very vigorous, and has declined very little over the years. I had to change her supplement recently because the cost of a 90 tablet bottle rose to $75.00 delivered to my door. Searching widely in stores and on the Web I came across ArthriSoothe Gold. It has all of the ingredients of the previous supplement I bought, but in greater quantity, plus others also. Delivered to my door in Montreal Canada it cost me $50.00 for 120 tablets. Is it better than the previous supplement? It takes long term usage of any supplement to it properly asses whether or not it is good. It has now only been about two months, so more time is still required for me to judge. What I can say is that it certainly works at least as well as the other one, that my dog eats it happily with her meal, and that it is markedly cheaper to buy.
