Worked like a charm on my 2002 BMW E46
Worked like a charm , I used an old PC with windows 8. Once plugged in I had to bypass some security retrains AI helped me to bypassed them , identifying the files I needed to address to change their restrictions settings. Proud owner of a 2002 BMW SSG/SMG E46

Takes a little patience if you don’t do the install correctly.
Win Xp is only supported but I got the cable to work on Windows 10 then downloaded a better version of the INPA software and other utilities and everything works fine. They do offer support but I was able to make it work on my own.

Software infected with Trojan
The CD that came with this tool does not have any instructions and the CD is unlabeled. When I went to install Windows defender flagged a Trojan file Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!rfn .This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker. Had to take computer offline to clean it out. Be AWARE OF THIS PROGRAM. You can find the files online from several BMW enthusiasts sites.

Worked with INPA on 2007 BMW E60
Ordered this to reset the Tranmission adaptation on my 2007 BMW 525i. Based on other reviews, I elected not to try to use the DVD that came with it. I downloaded INPA from one of the BIMMERFEST pages and was able to get it working on Windows 10 after following their instruction. The software is old so there’s a bit of “hacking” required to get it working on Win10. The missing step from the instruction was to make sure that you run the CMD command as administrator in order to get the regsrv to work when registering the 3 DLL files. Then I followed some YouTube videos to find the INPA function I needed.

Excellent product fast delivery to NZ. Didn't use software that came with it as used ISTA, so can't comment if n that. Very happy with cable. Thanks

Works for 2004 e46 BMW
Comes with a switch to bridge pins 7 and 8 which is needed in most cases to work on e46 BMW's. Switch to switch to the left for bridged connection or right for open connection
