TBコントローラチップの重要性とケース品質
これまで格安のTB4ケースを使っていましたが、耐久性を考えこちらを購入しました。 まず放熱製の高さが段違いです。 安価なケースは冷却に余裕がなく、ファン付きは騒音、不具合、耐久性の観点からマイナスの方が目立ちますがこちらは堅実で単体でもしっかり冷却しています。 特筆すべきは高負荷時の安定性、速度維持です。ベンチマーク上は高速なケースも用途によって全く速度が出ず、早いはずなのに遅いみたいなことがよくあります。 その点こちらはさすがOWCで、DTM、動画編集の長時間使用でも安定してしっかりした速度が出ています。 ベンチマーク上ではなく体感でそれが実感できます。 M.2SSDは速度よりもコントローラチップとケース性能の方が遥かに大事だと実感しました。

すごく良い！ 転送速度が早く、無音。
macbook M1に繋いでいます。サムソンの990PROを入れましたが、内臓SSDより早い3000MB・秒以上のスピードが出ており素晴らしい。本体の熱はさわれないほどではなく、ファンが無いことで無音なのが良い。ちょっとお高いですが、デザインもよく持ち歩くのにも大きすぎない。素晴らしい商品だと思います。

問題なく使えており見た目もカッコよくて最高です しばらく使って思ったのはやはり大きすぎる… 数台持ち歩くのでなかなかかさばります。

T4 であれば これでいいのかな さすがにT4だと早いです。 あっという間のバックアップ。 意外に小さい。
でかいデータをバックアップるには 有線のLANケーブルを高速にするか T4かT5のぽーとでおこなうしかないため、T4用のこれを購入。 ファンはないので放熱のアルミの筐体。重い、分厚い 通常のポータブルのHDDの２ばいありますが、amazonさんのHDDケースがギリギリ入ります。不測のT4ケーブルが短いのでこの倍は欲しいところですね。でかいと早いは正義なんですが、もう少し価格が下がるといいかな。でも、このあと NAS などに保存することを考えると、一気にバックアップ取ってそこからまたバックアップ。いやあ、どんどん高速になりますね。

十分な速度。金属製のケースに安心感がある。
別途購入したWD Blue SN5000 NVMe SSD 4TBを装着して使用しています。付属のケーブルで3000MB/sを超える速度を計測でき、非常に満足しています。 使用中は本体がそれなりに熱くなりますが、金属製のしっかりとした作りで安心感があります。熱伝導パッドもケースの蓋についており、冷却対策も万全だと感じました。 検証機はM4Max MacStudio(2025)です。

Delivers on all the specs
Whilst expensive, it absolutely delivers. I have a good consistent speed with no speed throttling due to thermal constraints. Everything else is as it states in the spec I used this on a M4 mini and can confirm 3200 as quoted.

This OWC Express 1M2 is a fantastic enclosure. It's incredibly small and portable, making it easy to toss into a backpack pocket. Paired with the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB SSD, the performance is flawless. I've been editing 4K video in Final Cut Pro on my M1 Max Mac Studio in real-time, and I've experienced zero slowdowns—a huge step up from my previous drives. While it does get noticeably warm under heavy load, it maintains excellent functionality and speed. It also feels very durable, giving me peace of mind when carrying it between home and the office. Highly recommend this combination for demanding creative work!
