SYOKAMI Fillet Knife for Fish, Razor Sharp 7.2 Inch Boning Knife

As an avid fisherman, this knife has made filleting noticeably easier. The long blade combined with the curve lets you glide through the fillet smoothly. It's comfortable in the hand, even during longer sessions cleaning a pile of fish. The Damascus pattern looks great, it's a nice touch that makes the knife feel like a step up from other filet knives. I've used this through an entire fishing season now, and it's held up well. I have absolutely fallen in love with this knife it is among my prized filleting knives and it has served me well and I hope it does for a long time, feels great in the hand balanced at the weight being a one piece design, extremely sharp from factory cut up a couple yellowtails

I can’t tell you just how much I really like this knife. It is the sharpest knife I’ve ever owned or used. Has a great feel weight and size wise. I love keeping it in the box it came in because of how handy it is.

Wow not only is it a beautiful knife, but extremely sharp. I got this for my 86 yr old Dad whose an avid fisherman and he was thrilled. A word of warning is sharpfrom the front of you hilt that is the only thing we were not sure about because if your finger slips up it can cut you. So use it knowing this, and it will work perfectly. The hilt is funtional and fits the hand. Decent flexibility for a fillet knife.

Beautiful knife great fit and finish

Good length. The main reason I got this was for a longer than standard blade. It's flexible enough to separate it from a boning knife and having a thicker handle allows more controllability. There are 2 issues however. The first is that the logo/info on the side is not laser engraved. It feels "printed" on because it has a raised rough texture. The issue is that you'll end up eating whatever that printing is made of as it wears away and flakes off over time. I can't guaranteed it's not lasered steel but i doubt they somehow created a raised texture with extra material with a laser. The second issue is that this is not damascus and ironically, this IS laser engraved. It is not damascus and it's not even good laser engraved. The pixels are highly visible. So they faked the damascus and even when they were going to use a laser anyway, they decided to add the logo in some unknown material instead.
