Choosing to accept what may be his final mission, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) gathers his team to finally end the threat of the pernicious AI known as the Entity by obtaining its source code. Unfortunately, said data is located in a long-sunken Russian sub--and the mastermind Gabriel (Esai Morales) has his own reasons to see them fail. Eighth (and last?) franchise thriller co-stars Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Angela Bassett, Hannah Waddingham, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman. 169 min. Review: Seminal action movie work in a equally seminal video quality release - Beautiful video quality expertly produced. The video is technically perfect. The movie itself is entertaining; it really feels like Tom Cruise is living Mission: Impossible in his real life with the completely over-the-top action scene. Definitely a seminal work in the genre. This could stand alone without seeing the first movie as the plot is not complex. Review: Excellent conclusion to a wonderful series of films! - This movie is excellent. A wonderful conclusion to the series. Some have complained that it spends too much time referencing the prior films. But I disagree. The film is terrific in it's own right, and the referencing to prior films helps bring the series to a satisfying conclusion. It looks and sounds great in 4K UHD and the special features are very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Overly long movies with a disconnect between parts 1 and 2
First let me say this is a good movie as are all the Mission Impossible movies. The sets and locations are fabulous, the acting superb, and there is plenty of action. The problem I had with this two-part finale is the time between releases of the parts and the length of the movies. I just happen to think this swan song could have been planned and the scheduling better planned. Someday I will sit down and watch the two parts back to back but I don’t know when I will feel like 6 straight hours of movie watching. Also, movies of that length are a rarity for good reason. Did I enjoy the movie? Yes but as mentioned there was a disconnect between the two parts of the finale.

The "Final" mission, should you choose to accept it, in 4k
4k video is reference quality. The film's two standout sequences ( the submarine and plane chase) are worth the price of admission alone. Great for any fan of the franchise.

Spectacular, Flawless and Top Notch
This is my very first purchase I've ever bought on 4K UHD Blu-ray and the first film from the action franchise I own. The shipping was great before Veterans Day. Although the PS5 doesn't support Dolby Vision nor Dolby Atmos, the HDR10 and its Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround track was all I wanted to test out when watching the movie with my brothers and Mom. The IMAX expanded ratio for its action sequences was also the best.
