iMusk Original Lightning Adapter for DJI Mic 1 Receiver (the 1st Gen)

Broken from day one.

I purchased the iMusk Lightning adapter for the DJI Mic 1 (first generation) as a replacement for the original, and I was honestly impressed by how well it works. After multiple tests, I can confirm that it performs identically to the official DJI adapter with perfect compatibility and audio transmission. Compatibility & Performance: The adapter connects securely to the DJI Mic 1 receiver with no looseness or interruptions. It’s instantly recognized by the iPhone — no setup required. I’ve used it for filming, interviews, and live streaming, and there’s no difference in audio quality compared to the original adapter. Audio Quality: The sound transmission is clean, stable, and interference-free. I tested it with several apps (Camera, CapCut, Filmic Pro, Voice Memos), and the mic was immediately detected every time. The signal remains clear even during long recordings. Design & Build Quality: The build feels solid and well-made. The housing is tight, the pins are durable, and it doesn’t overheat. It even fits perfectly into the DJI Mic charging case, which is a big plus. The finish is nearly identical to the original, giving a professional look and feel. Value for Money: Considering the price, it’s absolutely worth it. You get the same performance as the original DJI adapter at a much lower cost. It’s ideal to keep as a backup or replacement without compromising quality. This size of this adapter is too big making it extremely difficult to slide it into place. On top of that, it just does not work. The only sound it produces on the video is static noise. I don’t not recommend the purchase of this product.

Worked and saved me money on OEM connector which DJI did not have available for quite some time. I suspect the reason is these things are delicate. I broke two in the first couple of months of using. I use it on my Iphone on a tripod and it fell and, well they just broke. One thing I can say is to make sure when inserting it on iPhone, as in my case, make sure it is seated all the way in as far as it can go. I failed to do this and recorded 25 minutes with no audio. good things it was just my dogs playing in the back yard!

Seems to work no problem on the native camera app on iphone, which is half the battle. However, I tried using the mic with a 3rd party camera app, and with this attachment the app will not record audio. Definitely not ideal, as I'll have to rely on an unreliable USB-C to Thunderbolt dongle for just that app since this attachment is causing the app the bug out for some reason. I'm going to try a software update and to reach out to the app developer. If I find improvements I'll update this review.
