UPDATE AND ADDITIONAL DETAILS AT BOTTOM. Cover was easy to install: took about 10 minutes with very little struggle, included guide was perfect. Even without turning up touch sensitivity I found responsiveness to be very good. However, it has many downsides. -Black frame is slightly too small and obscures screen edges, especially corners; it is not terrible, but with so many other affordable options there is no reason to put up with this; product images seem to show a small amount of bezel showing under the black edge but this is not the case, you will not see any of the phone's bezel -Rainbowing (a.k.a. Newton Rings) are a normal part of having two pieces of glass touching; if quality of the cover was higher (and more expensive) this might not happen but seller should mention it to customers - only way to avoid would be full screen adhesive which would make installation trickier, too; the effect is especially present where the screen curves and must touch the protector -Edge adhesive is not consistent all the way around; if a drop of liquid touches an edge (especially along the sides where the adhesive line is thinner) it will get sucked under the screen protector due to capillary action; only way to get it out is to lift protector off and compromising the adherence of the protector (allowing it to dry could leave mineral deposits rubbing between the screen and protector) -May be better for some users depending on what phone case they are using, but with the slim case I use there are 2-3mm portions of exposed screen along the edges; corners are particularly vulnerable (did not deduct stars on this point because it may work well with a bulkier case) This protector is barely worth it. Ease of install was the only major plus. UPDATE: Happy to be contacted by seller, will gladly update review when replacement arrives. UPDATE: -Replacement protector has tolerances even better than the very close match it was before: speaker cut out is a perfect fit, black outlines are almost indistinguishable from the bezel. I am actually quite impressed by how tight the tolerances are on the replacement. The newer protector also solved the problem of the old protector corners obscuring a tiny but significant portion of the screen. -The edge adhesive seems more consistent this time around, however I would still avoid contact with liquids in case they infiltrate the edge and force you to remove the protector. That said, I have not tested how it would perform if submerged or splashed. -Installation was still a breeze, especially considering how finicky full-adhesive screen protectors are. Still, be extremely rigorous about dust and specks before you install. The dry wipe included in the package seemed to release its own fibers as well. Removing the cover later will compromise the very thin adhesive lines. Also, because it is not completely adhered you get a trade off: Rainbowing. -Rainbowing is interestingly both better and worse: worse because it occupies a larger portion of the screen than the last protector; better because it is less noticeable overall and seems reliant on the type of lighting. Under most situations it is very difficult to see the rainbowing although it is definitely there at certain angles (usually angles in which you would not be using the phone anyway). However, I have a particular room in my home that uses a combination of warm and cool fluorescent light bulbs that seems to bring out the rainbow effect. Attached image shows effect, but again it is practically invisible 95% of the time. -The dot matrix of the screen also seems to be more visible under certain lighting conditions, but I could not pinpoint them. This never happened when I was actually using the phone so it is of negligible effect. -GearVR: I am happy to report that the screen cover does not appear to affect the quality images when used in a GearVR. The fit is a bit tighter but not a problem. UPDATE: spoke too soon, the dot matrix on the protector can be seen warping/magnifying pixels, especially in large single color areas with no motion. Also, when there is a large amount of contrast (white on black, for example), the lighter colors appear to "bleed" and appear as a halo, which is the reflection of the lighter areas off the protector. These issues are situational but are noticeable, perhaps even unbearable since the Note 9 is the ideal phone for GearVR. Since GearVR is probably not a general-use case I am not deducting stars. -Cooling: I am trying to keep the phone for as long as possible so am very conscious of the need to keep the phone as close to room temperature as possible. As most would probably guess, the screen protector has a negligible affect according to 3C Battery Monitor. -I am a sucker for good customer service, they definitely stand by their product and want it to be the best for their users. I give the product itself 4 stars due to the rainbow effect (which is possibly unavoidable with any edge-adhered screen protector), but add a star for proactively assuring customer satisfaction.

I was really surprised by this. I was expecting the glass and dust cleaning kit and maybe a postage stamp cleaning cloth but it turned out to be more. The biggest selling point for me was the portion size of one - i mean unless you have a family that has the exact same (thousand dollar) phone the average person only needs one. This comes with everything you need to properly install it in ideal conditions of an undamaged screen. the glass, the dust kit and a reasonably sized if not pretty cheap cleaning cloth. It also comes with an install jig that makes it practically impossible to mess up installation. I managed to get mine on without any bubbles. better still its installed on a damaged screen so its pulling double duty of protecting the screen from further damage but also protecting my fingers from the new sharp edges of my phone. it may develop bubbles over time because cracks can let air in, albeit slowly, but after two months of use its holding up just fine. I will say that its more of a smudge magnet than the stock screen is but that just teaches me a lesson to take better care of my phone. The smudge factor is the only con I can think about because its been better than expected since I opened the box. Though I will say that if you are a "picker" the edges are soft and rounded over but your fidgety fingernails can find their way under the screen. either get a better phone case or break yourself of the habit before you end up pulling it off.

If you're like me, you looked around at the various offerings for screen protectors for the note 9 and saw that most of them did not have great reviews. I decided to pick up this screen protector as I had used this same company's tempered glass product in the past for my Nintendo switch, and that has been great. I got that screen protector in a double pack and the second one has not left the package. It fit perfectly, install was easy, and once it was on, it was like it wasn't even there. Moving on to this screen protector however, while largely a good product, I do have some complaints. Installation was a breeze, and I saw no rainbow patterns or anything of the like. The fit is good for the screen, but it does not actually go edge to edge on the glass, on all four sides it falls short, which seems to be an intentional design choice, perhaps for better case compatibility. Nevertheless, it only covers the lit screen portion of the glass, if the device were to be dropped on an edge or corner, there is no protection at all. Touch sensitivity has been largely unaffected by the product, and turning on the touch sensitivity feature of the phone is unnecessary. However, the S-pen seems to drag a little on the glass surface when compared to the bare screen, and the feel is just a little "off", but is easy enough to get used to. Finally, I have noticed that the dot matrix pattern becomes visible under brighter lights with a dark screen, which can be annoying. Overall the screen protector is decent. Edit: Originally I had fit issues with the device due to me incorrectly using the installation tray that resulted in sensitivity issues and some screen separation. TechMatte's customer support quickly helped me to correct the issue, and even offered to send me a new screen protector if needed (which was not needed.)

Works like any other glass screen protector I've had. I did have one that had a smidge inside but I got a replacement the next day without having to return the original. But it will prevent scratches and will protect against drops. It will crack easier than your screen but will absorb a lot of the energy if you do drop it, which can prevent your screen itself from cracking. Sometimes hairline cracks will form but any glass screen protector will do that. It's probably less durable than flat screen protectors but it does it's job. Also it's pretty easy to get rid of the rainbow effect with some pressure. Touch sensitivity wasn't raised, and sometimes I'll get a notification saying I've had too many touch inputs but it's a small inconvenience that requires one touch to close and only happens if i have it in my pocket and take it out. Good product, works for what it should and easy install. Got a crack so I'll be ordering another but I dropped it on a rock. My phone's screen is fine though. And yes there's only adhesive on the edges but it has no problem sticking.

I've been having my note 9 for about a year now and never had a screen protector on it but after I realized that I was getting some very minor scratches here and there I decided to get a screen protector because seeing a bunch of small scratches on phone screens when it gleams in the sun is a little pet peeve of mine and I didn't want that on my phone. To tell you the truth, When I was looking around for a screen protector, this wasn't even my first choice because my brother heard me say how I was looking for one and went behind me and ordered this one for me without me knowing. To be honest, I was a little sceptical about this screen protector because it doesn't have the best reviews on here but let me tell you, this screen protector was super easy to install and I didn't even have to use the blue thing, it literally took 30 secs and most of those seconds were just me cleaning my screen and I usually absolutely suck at installing screen protectors so you can trust me when I say this one is super easy to install. Unlike a lot of people on here, I've had no problems with rainbows or weird grease spots, I can't really tell you about how good it protects because I rarely drop my phone so it hasn't really been put to the test but as far as installation and looks, it's a five star in my book. Oh and I've seen some questions of rather this screen protector is compatible with Ottor Box cases and I was a little worried about that as well because If I had to choose between my 60 dollar case or a 10 dollar screen protector, I would rather keep my case If I couldn't use them together but it fits perfectly with no problems at all with my Otter Box Pro.

I've had this screen cover for my Note 9 for 3 months. The installation process was extremely easy with the provided installation bracket. The alignment is perfect, much easier than the flimsy plastic covers and far superior image quality over time. The bond has remained all along the edge without issue, no lifting or bubbles whatsoever. There's a notable rectangle of rainbow effects in the center of the screen, though I've only noticed it when the screen is off - it does not seem to have any negative effect when the phone is actually in use. I turned up the touch sensitivity per the instructions and the phone functions as though the extra layer of glass was not there at all. Several tiny scratches appeared on the face of the screen protector within a few weeks of use, likely from laying the phone face-down. My phone case has slightly lifted edges to keep the screen from contacting a surface in this way, however the screen protector fills in that gap. These scratches are so small as to be unnoticeable when the screen is lit up, though it is disappointing that they appeared so soon. A one-inch curved crack has appeared from the right edge of the screen protector. I dont know how this fracture occurred, as I have not dropped my phone at all and am altogether quite careful with it. It is noticable especially in landscape orientation. While it does not impede use of the screen currently, I am fearful of how readily this crack may expand or even cause chips in the screen. I'd say that this screen protector is a good choice IF you use a phone case which keeps the screen well protected along the edges. If you use a thin case like me, or if you go without a case (or else if you tend to treat your phone roughly), this glass protector may be too fragile to last very long.

This company is stellar. I purchased this screen protector for my Note 9 back in 2019 and its now 2023. My phone and this TechMatte screen protector have traveled with me to nearly every continent & performed superbly. No bubbles, cracks or gaps just solid protection. Even in the misty mountains of Africa trekking gorillas. Which is no easy feat considering the Note 9 has a curved edge, tho clean & beautiful, ergonomically, can be difficult as hell to find an adequate case and screen protector for - without it looking like one of those cases named after an animal that swims in a river if you get my drift. This screen protector pairs beautifully with my favorite 2 piece gasketed Burga cases. Harmonius! Get this screen protector, heck, get a few, everyone's gonna want one. Why am I reviewing this 4 yrs later? Cuz on Monday, I happened to drop my phone & I saw a crack, I couldn't believe it, but it must have been on a corner in just the right spot. BUT IT WAS THE PROTECTOR, NOT MY SCREEN! In 2019 I registered for the lifetime warranty & saved my email. Voila! When I went back to the email and clicked through to make a claim, it self populated my order number and within 2 minutes a free replacement was on its way. By Wednesday I had the replacement - 48 hours! Outstanding service. TechMatte customer for life.

UPDATE: I decided to request a replacement instead of a return. So glad I did. I have dropped my phone at least five times on different surfaces, face up & down, and the screen protector NOW does what its supposed to do... It stays on, doesn't crack, and stays scratch free. I obviously got a dud the first time around. I almost didn't give it a 2nd chance, but since finding another reliable screen protector was so difficult, I figured it was worth a shot.... It was. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My phone fell out of my bag & this screen protector cracked. Sooooo disappointed because before that it was perfect, thus the two stars instead of one. Easy to install, clear, no sensitivity issues. The dot matrix & rainbowing claims are true, but it was only noticeable when the screen was off, and even then just sometimes. So tempted to just buy another one, but I'd be a fool to if failed on the main purpose I bought it for... Drop protection.

This was my first time purchasing a screen protector for my phone from abroad as the production of screen protectors for Samsung note 9 has stopped in India(2023) and we are not able to find best quality protectors. Hope you get my point!😜 So I found this one on Amazon and few things worried me at first..is this good quality🤔 and is it worth ordering as it comes for a huge price(3k)..💸😅 (TO SELLER: What's this man.. its 1k now🥴 return 2k😅.. I have gpay🤣) Anyway, I ordered on May 10th 2023 and got it by 31st😱..(it has to clear customs and reach you, which takes time) To my surprise, it was well packed.. as mentioned..had all necessary things to do a nice job with your screen protector..the case helps to align the screen protector properly with the phone screen. (Tip: make sure you start sticking from the top but not from the bottom as mentioned in the instructions.. otherwise you will find later that you placed it above the phone notification light area). Excellent product and quality as well.. I do not see much fingerprints on the phone screen after using it..its designed in a way that it does not disturb the phone case. Overall satisfied with the purchase😍👌 Anyone purchasing from INDIA, go for it.. no second thoughts😉.

Awesome quality I'm super happy! Exactly as expected, even better. Installation was easy! Just be careful when installing make sure you are in a dust free environment. I got a little spec of dust under my screen and now I can see it all the time lol but yeah they give you stickers to collect dust with prior to installation, so you can avoid my mistake, and the full kit makes installing it super easy! I'm very happy with this product. The glass is durable, the tough response is quick and flawless and the adhesive works well. Worth the money.

Had this on my previous Note 8 and was confident that it'd work fine on the Note 9 and it does! Fits perfectly; very easy to install (getting the glass uber clean is paramount) and then sticking it down being firm with the edges where the adhesive is etc Fits well with my Spigen Neo Hybrid case as well Personally; £50 for the Whitestone Dome kit is OTT whereas these are £9.99, so ideally priced to have a spare just in case!

Having a big screen phone i have been in the habit to have to do screen protector replacements way too often. Each time it is a nightmare to get the screen protector to fit. I am very happy width this product as it include a easy to fit application tool. Good product at great price point.
