Inactive ingredients: blue 1 lake, dextrose, flavors, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, red 40 lake, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, sucralose, sucrose, yellow 5 lake, yellow 6 lake (333-042), natural and artificial flavors. Calcium 400 mg, magnesium 85 mg. Active ingredients: calcium carbonate USP 1000 mg and magnesium hydroxide USP 200 mg. Antacids may interfere with certain prescription medication.

how long does it take to work?

For me: no more than thirty minutes. I try not to take it too often as it affects my thyroid (I have hypothyroidism). It doesn't keep me awake. As an alternative you can try 3000mg of cinnamon (in 1000mg capsules here on Amazon). Also try ginger root, pickled ginger, Kimchi, or vinegar (unseasoned rice vinegar is the mildest). Oddly enough if you have acid reflux or GERD the above-mentioned products work quite well. Taking the cinnamon before a heartburn meal significantly reduces acid reflux for me. Hope this helps.

Best antacid

Finally an antacid that doesn't taste bad. The mint is a nice flavor and I never hesitate to use when needed. Also, it works as it should. Worth a try, especially if you are tired of the fruit flavored ones.

Works best for me

I don't really know why, but Rolaids seem to work better for me than any other antacid I've tried. They have a pleasant taste. I usually take two tablets and that seems to keep me acid free for a long time. If there is anything that works better, I haven't found it.
