What are the dimensions of the phone pocket? Will it fit an iphone 8 plus?

Hi there, it can fit iPhone 8 plus, dimension is 4.65" x 3.54", thanks.

Can the left side fold back to be behind the right side when open?

Hi There, thank you for your interest in our portfolio case, yes the left side fold back to be behind the right side when open, thanks.

Does it open so that it is just a clipboard style/ able to hold it one handed?

You can hold it as a clipboard if you fold the from flap back, otherwise it’s like a portfolio. It’s convenient and has a big packet where you can hold regular sized paper. Hope this helps.
