is the ink actually india ink ?

I’m sorry I don’t know what India ink is. I bought this pen for it’s thick tip to be able to write with bold lettering. It fits that purpose.

Can this pen be used over gesso or modeling/texture paste without ruining the pen?

Can be used On Gesso after it’s completely dried. Haven’t tried it on modeling paste yet, but I’m assuming it will ruin the pen.

can you replace the ink when it runs out?

No the ink can not be replaced. The pen last a very very very long time..,

I see that this big black 'brush' pen is in fact a 'brush' nib, but the white shows a 'bullet' and the description says brush?

Just order the white one through dickblick honestly. theres no consensus in the comments, but the black one is a brush, the white one is a bullet nib. White brushes are available at blick though.

great pens!

One of the pens arrived dried out but the seller replaced it so quickly. great response! I LOVE THESE PENS! they fill in larger areas with a delicious black. fine enough tip to get a little round the details too. highly recommend for comic inking.

Schöner Stift fürs Handlettering

Dieser Stift eignet sich gut zum Handlettering, würde ihn aber Anfängern eher nicht empfehlen, sondern da eher andere Hersteller. Ansonsten ist der Stift ganz gut zu handlen. Finde ihn nicht tiefschwarz, aber auch nicht grau. Wie er sich zum Zeichnen eignet, kann ich nicht beurteilen.
