Rainfly is feature rich, thoughtfully designed.
Initial impressions of the Nature Hike Village Instant 4 Person tent w/ screen room and comparison to 6 year old Core 6 Person Instant tent. I received the NatureHike tent today. The package is about 32lbs, which is heavier than my Core 6p tent however, not as long (more compact by about 6 inches). I set up the NatureHike tent in my living room for an initial check of defects and comparison to my old Core tent. My first impression of the tent is favorable with very upright walls, allowing for lots of usable space inside. I am 5'5" and can stand upright near the edge of the tent, in the Core, I cannot. The poles seem sturdy. The seam stitching appears straight and even with no identifiable frayed edges or strings. The double doors (on the screen room model) are awesome and a huge reason why I chose the screen room model. I have been looking for an instant tent with more than one door, a screen room, and an awning, all in one package but there are few options at a reasonable price point. This Naturehike tent has two canopies! The fabric weight of the tent body seems average and comparable in weight and opacity to my old Core tent. The mesh areas are large and the mesh holes are very fine, finer than the core tent. I am concerned that they could be easily punctured. The Naturehike Village 4 has a high walled tub bottom, possibly 6 inches. Seams appear taped and without measuring seems higher than the Core. CONCERNS: the floor (tub) material seems to be quite thin, like that of a thin windbreaker. I could forsee a rock or stick puncturing it very easily. The Core has a vastly thicker tub bottom material, heavy duty weight tarp material. I have never needed to use a ground tarp under my Core tent and it has never punctured in 6 years. I could see the Naturehike Village floor puncturing quite easily without a ground tarp placed beneath it. I will have to treat the floor extremely carefully to avoid damage. Zippers: The Naturehike Village seems to have smaller zippers with a plasticky feel. The Core zippers feel more robust and only one has broken in its latest season. I wonder if the Naturehike zippers will fare as well...only time will tell. Windows: The interior window flaps dont zipper all the way around the entire window...the windows zip up with the top edge being an open flap. I'm not sure I like this. The Core windows zip completely around. I think this helps to keep out blowing wind and rain. The Rainfly (shining star of this tent) The naturehike rainfly is part of this tent's selling point. It is a full rainfly that can cover the tent completely to the ground and has an integrated screen room and canopies. This is a very big design advantage. In addition, the rainfly has a liner material on the inside of the fabric to help reinforce and reduce sun and rain penetration. This rainfly is an awesome design and really sets this tent apart from other 4 or even 6 person instant tents. My Core 6 person instant tent only has a partial rainfly made from standard material that, in higher winds or moisture, struggles to protect me due to the tent walls remaining relatively exposed. I believe that this Naturehike rainfly will help me to have a more enjoyable fair weather tenting experience. My concerns about tub material quality and zipper durability will have to be born out with use. For the price, I think the quality of the tub should have been much, much better. I paid $344 for the Naturehike Village 4 instant tent on 2/25/26 and I paid $169 for my Core 6 person tent in 2020 (and it seems to cost about the same as of this writing). The Core tent seems to have better quality material in some components at half the cost. But, I have not used the Naturehike tent yet. It appears to have no manufacturing defects. I will fully waterproof this tent before using it, as I do yearly with my camping equipment. I will check back this summer after I have used this interesting tent and will amend my review accordingly. Do I regret buying this tent? No. I will keep it because of the postive design attributes that I have listed with the doors, walls, rainfly, and screenroom. In the accompanying pictures, the Naturehike Village 4 person intant tent with screenroom is TAN in color and the Core 6 person instant tent is dark gray and maroon, for comparison.

Dose required some time to set up
It is a great tent, love the screened in porch! And the blackout rain fly is amazing! It is big and will take some to time to set up, and take down.

Not enough poles
So far so good. There is a smell that is present, but I think that is the material being new. Once it was set up it started to go away. The poles that are included probably won’t work that well. They are to short and not adjustable. Not to mention two poles is no not enough. Three rain flies requiring two poles… not enough. The construction seems strong. Won’t know until I use it for a week long trip.

Great Design, But Needs Better Execution
I bought this tent to upgrade from my old one that has lasted over 10 years. After doing some research, this model checked all the boxes on my wishlist: Size: It fits two cots comfortably with room to spare. The interior height is great—I can stand up straight without having to hunch over. Design: I was drawn to the front and side awnings shown in the product images, plus the included screen room to keep bugs out. Pros: Thoughtful layout: The interior is spacious with a darkroom feature that lets you sleep in longer. The screen room is a nice touch. Safety at night: The guy lines are reflective, so you won’t trip over them in the dark. Heavy-duty stakes: Much better quality than I expected. Packing is easy: The storage bag is generously sized, so it's not a struggle to get the tent back in. Cons: Strong odor out of the box: There was a heavy chemical smell initially, but it aired out quickly outdoors. Also, there were lots of loose threads visible throughout. Setup instructions are vague: The printed guide on the bag is too minimal. It took two of us over 90 minutes to figure it out the first time. I'm sure the second time will be faster, but clearer instructions would help a lot. Misleading product photos: The images show multiple awnings (front and sides), but in reality, the tent only comes with 2 awning poles. To set it up exactly like the photos, you’d need 6 poles total. The included awning poles are also frustrating to assemble—they’re supposed to lock in with tension, but the design and fit are poor. Awkward pole length: While the main tent has great headroom, the screen room is much lower—you still have to duck inside. Sloppy finish: Some velcro placements on the windows and side door feel like afterthoughts—poor alignment and sizing. Potential waterproofing issue: On the second night, it rained lightly. In the morning, we noticed some moisture inside. We’re still unsure if it was condensation or a leak—but either way, it’s a concern. For camping in the PNW, reliable waterproofing is essential, and this might be a dealbreaker for us. Final Thoughts: This tent has a lot of potential—the layout and design are impressive. But unfortunately, the execution falls short. Quality control, setup guidance, and waterproofing are all areas that need improvement. I’m not confident it will last as long as my old tent, which is a shame because it could have been a great upgrade.

Arrived with damaged parts
I was really excited to get this tent. Particularly with the screened in area. I had already purchased the TPU panel enclosure and was looking forward to trying out all the accessories. I was quite disappointed to find the top cross pole was bent and one of the snap brackets on one corner was completely broken off. I did set up the tent sort of working around the damaged parts (the bent pole is putting an extraordinary amount of stress in the front right corner of the rainfly. But there is no attaching the rainfly to the tent where the corner snap bracket is broken off. I could only stake it down to the ground and hope it holds if the wind becomes brisk.) I have the standard version of the Village 4-person tent and Dune 7.6 tent and they have both been fantastic. They have held up in wind, rain and snow. I really wanted to like this Premium Village 4-person tent but so far the experience is not as good as my previous purchases.
