Fresh and Delicious!
This Aleppo pepper is exactly the way it should be - fresh, pure, and delicious.I love Aleppo pepper and was let down by another brand that arrived poorly sealed and moldy, not to mention full of additives. This product is packed in a sealed, reclosable pouch, with one side clear so you can see what you get. There are no additives or mysterious extraneous ingredients, just beautiful red pepper flakes dried to the perfect moiture level. The taste is sensational! Super - fresh, with just the spice level you'd expect for this pepper variety. This brand has gained a new, long-time customer!

So Yummy!
Oh my!!! I have started enjoying cooking and eating a Mediterranean diet and found this pepper to be the one ingredient I can't do without! Aleppo Pepper is used in so many Mediterranean recipes. I love it sprinkled on meats and veggies. Perfect on hummus. Not spicy hot but adds a building warmth. This "Spice Way" brand is becoming my all time favorite. Always fresh, flavorful and fragrant, the three F's I look for in spices and herbs. Spice Way packaging is foil, air tight, zip-lock pouches, that keeps the moisture out and the flavor in. This 4 oz, pouch cost me about $7 making it a great value.

Excellent Aleppo pepper!
This is a well-priced, well-flavored Aleppo pepper (pul or halab biber): for those who already know it, buy it, you'll not be disappointed.Aleppo is a flavorful but not hot-hot pepper, itโs spicy but much milder than cayenne though it has a richer pepper flavor. I like being able to use a bit more Aleppo pepper & get it well-mixed in the food, bringing the flavor without overheating anyone unless I want to bring the heat. I use aleppo pepper almost exclusively when 'red pepper' flakes or cayenne are called for. What is it?This is a powdered spice made from halaby peppers, grown & eaten throughout the Near East. Peppers are influenced by their soil so there are some differences between halaby peppers grown in Aleppo or Izmir or Jerusalem or Idaho: this difference in taste is negligible in a dried, powdered product no matter what some chef-of-the-moment might say. Fresh peppers, yes; dried, not so much, unless this same chef can identify the variety of garlic in garlic powder by taste.Hope you enjoy your cooking!

Hint of Spice
I have never cooked with Aleppo Pepper before, but I really liked it in the dish I made. It had some spice but nothing that is too much. It added a nice flavor to the chicken I made. I paired it with the Sumac spice, and it was very good. It seemed very fresh and sealed nicely in package.
