how long are the blades?

The blade lengths are from top to bottom in picture: 2 inches for the top knife; and 1 1/2 inches for the next two blades.. They are very sharp! I find them to be a good fit for my hand while chip carving, An excellent tool.

The description says 3 knife set, but the picture says 2 knife. Which is it?

When I ordered the 3 knife set I received a 2 knife set. I sent it back and received the 3 knife set within a few days. Your guess is as good as mine on what you will get. Am,azon is very good at returning any product that isn't correct. I love the set and they keep there edge.

Yes it does come with compound. Great knives, very sharp, perfect shape handles. I love them. Also bought the single blade pocket knife. All super sharp.
