Does an unused portion need to be refrigerated?

the first time I used mine I then put it in the frig, the second time I took it out the same time I started the ribs so it would be at room temp. when it was time to use it. I put ALL my open bbq sauces in the frig. and no longer than 6 months. just to make sure no one gets sick. I use my smoker 2-3 times a week. If I need something right away I put it the microwave to warm it up. this glaze is awesome on ribs. I hope this is helpful.

Can you, should you, do you put the glaze on then back in the smoker to tack up?
