Anyone have experience with the effectiveness of the Rain Defender coating after repeated washings?

I have had more than one rain defender product and found that it does actually hold up well with washing and drying, but air drying has worked best for me whenever possible.

What temperature range would this be comfortable, if I just wore a T-shirt under it?

We live in the interior of Alaska. My husband and I each have one. I bought them last year at the onset of winter and we lived in them through the winter because they were so nice. The temperatures dipped into the -20’s a few times and with a t-shirt on underneath his, he was comfortable in the house. That’s equivalent to humid 20’s-30’s in the lower 48 to help you guys out. With his hoodie layered with his storm jacket that he bought years ago from another major retailer, he’s good 2 go. I really don’t layer unless I get hellaciously cold, then I REALLY layer. That sweatshirt was a great investment. Popped it on yesterday against the chill of the humidity, BAM! Gone!

What is the lining like? is it fuzzy? or like a t-shirt "jersey-knit" material? (asking about the whole sweatshirt, not just the hood.)

The inside is 80% cotton, 20% polyester.  It's more coarse than flannel, but very soft and comfortable.  The hood inside is like jersey knit and more smooth than the body, probably because the inside of the hood is visible, while the inside of the body not so much.  This heavyweight parka is very warm and comfortable.
