To store fuel in this cannister, does a fuel stablizer need to be added? If a stabilizer wasn't put in, how long will the gas last?

I chose this yellow can because it is traditionally used for diesel fuel. Diesel is a bit more stable than gasoline so can store longer without a stabilizer. It can become contaminated with water so you should always have an additive available that absorbs water from your fuel. If you are purchasing a jerry can for gasoline storage, I wouldn't store it for more than a few months without stabilizer.(Something such as Sta-Bil)

Does this can have the wire mesh inside ?

None of the authentic NATO military cans have wire mesh inside.
