Not junk great fishing tool for the correct application
Youโre getting what they are showing. I saw some reviews that were not positive. To that I say Itโs not a deep sea fishing rod. Itโs for pods a slow running rivers great for pan fishing.

Nice pole!
Got the 30 ft, surprise at how light. It is a light weight tip so a large fish needs to be played out before landing. Very good quality.

Good 30ft pole.
Like this pole, pretty sturdy, sections expand and retract pretty well. Weight is noticeable but wvery manageable considering it is the longest selected model, 30ft.

Lightweight, compact, and surprisingly capable
I was impressed with this telescoping Tenkara rod. It extends quickly, locks together securely, and collapses down to a very compact size that's easy to carry in a backpack or vehicle. Despite being lightweight, it feels surprisingly solid in hand. The long reach makes it easy to present a fly or lightweight bait in places that are difficult to access with a traditional rod, and the carbon fiber construction provides a good balance of sensitivity and strength. It's also a great option for anyone who enjoys backpacking, hiking, or keeping a compact fishing setup in their truck for unexpected opportunities. Overall, this is a well-made, portable rod that offers a lot of value for the price. If you're looking for a lightweight, easy-to-pack fishing rod for small streams or backcountry adventures, this is an excellent choice. Five stars.

A Joy to Use โ Simple and Effective
This rod simplifies fishing. No reels, no fuss โ just you, the line, and the fish. I purchased the 18ft version, and it's ideal for small lakes and ponds. The carbon fiber makes it responsive; you can really feel the line tension. Casting is intuitive and smooth once you get the hang of the tenkara style. The joints are tight with no wobble, which speaks to good manufacturing. It's so light that sensitivity is top-notch. The carrying case makes storage and transport a breeze. For anyone wanting to try tenkara or needing an ultra-portable rod for backpacking, this is a fantastic option. GTOFYU has created a winner here. Five stars.

15ft tenkara changed how I fish small streams โ pure connection
I've been fly fishing for years but this is my first tenkara rod, and I'm blown away. The 15ft length gives me incredible reach on tight mountain creeks where backcasts are impossible โ I just flick the fly into pockets I could never hit with a western rod. The no-guide, no-reel design sounds gimmicky until you try it; line ties directly to the tip and every little tap transmits straight to your hand. I felt a 10-inch rainbow pecking at my dry fly before it even committed โ that kind of sensitivity is unreal. The 34T carbon is featherlight, I hiked 3 miles upstream with it collapsed in my pack and barely noticed it. Casting is surprisingly smooth once you get the timing down, and the rod bends deep into the blank when you hook something decent, protecting light tippet. Landed a feisty 14-inch brown that put up a hell of a fight โ the rod handled it with ease. Spare tips in the bag are a smart touch too. If you fish small to medium rivers and want the purest connection to your fly, this 15ft is the sweet spot.

Backpacking game changer โ 15ft packs tiny, fishes huge
Bought this 15ft rod specifically for backcountry trips where weight and space are everything. Collapses small enough to slide into my daypack alongside my sleep system, and weighs next to nothing โ no heavy reel or bulky rod tube to deal with. The 34T carbon feels premium; stiff enough to turn a 16-inch bass in current but with a forgiving tip that absorbs headshakes. What surprised me most is how much water I can cover with 15 feet โ I can high-stick nymph runs that used to require wading out deep, and I'm landing flies in spots that spooked fish before. The direct-tie setup is dead simple, no tangles, no line twist, just you and the fish. I've used it on everything from freestone creeks to stillwater reservoirs, throwing small streamers and dry flies with equal success. The included carrying bag keeps the sections protected when I'm bushwhacking, and having spare tips gives me peace of mind miles from the trailhead. For anyone who wants a serious fishing tool that fits in a backpack without compromising performance, this 15ft rod delivers.
