Excellent Premium Product with no GMOs
This is an excellent product. I had stopped making tortillas several years ago because I didn't want to use the leading masa brand (GMOs), and others I tried didn't have the right texture (too gritty). Masienda is GMO free, has a beautiful silky texture when mixed with water puffs up nicely on the skillet, and tastes good. Love the light pink bag. Very happy to be making tortillas again. Pro tips: the right hydration is key, let dough rest after mixing, heat is critical (medium high-ish) and MOST IMPORTANTLY the first turn on the skillet is quick, as soon as vapor rises from the bottom of the tortilla, maybe 30 seconds. Second turn is when it just starts to brown on edges on bottom.

Where has this been all my life??
I decided last year to get my own tortilla press because I love fresh tortillas. I enjoyed making my own, with regular yellow corn masa. THEN, I got this blue corn masa. It's amazing! It makes light, fluffy tortillas that come away from the parchment paper well, cook nicely and stay together to make a good taco. THE TASTE IS WONDERFUL! Light and sweet, they taste like real food: uncomplicated and nourishing. I never use other masa now, I'm stuck on this beautiful blue corn masa. Give it a try, it's worth the money!

Help! What did I do wrong? TYI
Today I made a single batch using directions on packaging. The tortillas did not fluff up or bubble, which is fine. However, I'm curious if my ping pong ball size should of been larger. The final tortillas were the size of street taco tortillas. Did I make them too thin? Did they need more water? Or something else? See attachment This was my first experience making tortillas using your product, the taste is delicious! Look forward to making more with your guidance.
