Works great!
I've had this for a while now and I've been very happy with the camera. It's angle is perfect for my truck allowing me to see behind and down which is great for lining up hitches, seeing where to stop when backing up, and obstacles in the way of backing up. I have yet to see this camera fail on me. It's quality is good enough for my need, and the reference lines are decent enough to line yourself up with parking spots. Instal was easy, although I am mechanically inclined. I wired it up so it turns on when I go in reverse.

Installed on my 2007 Ford F150 FX4 - Aftermarket Panasonic Stereo
Easy Install on the tailgate but running the cable through the frame rails took a little patience. No real problem, just tedious. Fairly easy hook up to the stereo but I'm glad I had a previous camera which made it easy to hook up to the reverse wiring. Configured my stereo to the camera and it worked just fine. Camera works great in daylight with an awesome picture and it also works pretty good at night but I do have extra lights when backing up.

Good value
Used on. 2013 F150 and TopDisplay stereo. The install did not take too long and was plug and play. Camera is good quality and decent angle. Wire was long enough. No current complaints.

Don’t expect to see your hitch with this camera but it will help you not back into things.
This is the 3rd aftermarket camera I’ve had on this pickup. The first was in the emblem and lasted about a year, the second was similar to this one in the tailgate handle and I got another year and a half out of it. This looked to be the same as the last but once installed I realized it’s not. Install was a breeze mostly because I used the old wiring to pull a pull string into place when removing and then attached the new wiring to that and pulled it back through. It fits great and seems to work as a tailgate handle just fine. Looks just like factory. The camera image is better, night views are especially clearer. Unfortunately I hook and unhook from trailers daily which is the reason for adding a camera to this pickup and this camera fails in that department. The viewing angle leaves you at least 5” short of the ball. I spent a bit just identifying where I need to be and how far past the edge of view to go and I’ll get by just fine with this one but it would have been better if it had just a degree or two lower viewing angle. As you’ll see in the image the ball is nowhere to be found.

Disappointing Image Quality – Pixelated and Practically Useless
I bought the RED WOLF Tailgate Handle with Reverse Backup Camera Replacement for my 2010 Ford F150 hoping it would be a solid OEM-style upgrade. Installation wasn’t too bad and the fit was decent, but the main purpose of a backup camera is to see what’s behind you—and that’s where this product fails completely. The camera image is extremely low resolution. Everything looks pixelated, washed out, and blurry, even in decent lighting conditions. At night, forget about it—you’re better off using your mirrors or just guessing. It's almost like viewing an old VHS tape on a modern screen. For a product that's supposed to increase safety and visibility, this one actually reduces confidence when backing up. I expected at least a usable image, but this feels like a downgrade from even a decade-old stock camera. Unless you're just looking for a handle and don’t care about video quality at all, I’d skip this one and look for a better camera with decent resolution.

It was ok
It works ok, as I was tightening it the nut just kept spinning so it is loose on one side. Quality is ok. Would've been better if I could have fully tightened it.

2005 F150. I ran this into an older Kenwood deck I had. Installation was a breeze. The picture quality is amazing, especially at night. I had a license plate one before and it was terrible because the license plate lights distort the camera at night. This one gives you a higher view from the latch position. The latch works as good as the original. Had it over a year now and still great. The backup lines also are a nice touch.

Delivered quick. Fit just like a factory handle. Easy install. Connected to an Alpine headunit. Nice clear picture, even at night. Worked perfect for me.
