UPDATE: after 1 yr, it's still GREAT
After 2 YEARS of daily use: GREAT product. It has NOT deteriorated, and still has all the "Pros" it had when I first used it. By letting it hang dry as I suggest below between showers, it has remained mold-free and in essentially the same condition it was in new. The rope "handles" are still in great condition, but I don't loop my hands through them and pull on them hard; instead, I grip the ends of the "cloth" part of the scrubber. Occasionally, if you want you can throw it in the washing machine--or hand wash it. Just don't use real hot water or put it in the clothes dryer!!! It will shrink some, as my college son learned. Ordered this Aquis scrubber and the similar design Aquabella scrubber at same time based on other reviews. Immediately returned the Aquabella due to strong, noxious chemical odors it contained [see review under Aquabella]. The Aquis had NO chemical odors at all. Have been using the Aquis for 3 wks now, and really like it. Pros: (1) it's long--31"x4"w scrubber cloth plus 4"long rope "handles" on each end--I'm 6' tall with long arms, and it's plenty long enough to hold easily and scrub it back and forth on my back without feeling it was too short; (2) edges, etc seem well sewn/sturdy; (3) 1 side is an exfoliating rougher surface and 1 side is softer surface--my skin is tender, so I primarily use the soft side; (4) dries out fast if you rinse soap out, wring it out by hand, and hang in shower. Cons: none so far. Other reviewers mentioned that the rope "handles" come loose over time. I haven't had it long enough to know if that'll happen with mine; so a few months down the road I will update my review. A few tips: (1) to save wear and tear on the rope "handles", instead of hooking my hands inside the ropes, I just hold onto the ends of the "cloth" part of the scrubber--it's long enough to allow you to do that; (2) to prevent mold from growing on it, rinse the soap out before shutting off the shower, wring out the scrubber, and hang it to dry out--dries quickly this way--I just use rope handle on 1 end of scrubber to loop over a shampoo bottle top in my shower caddy, and the scrubber hangs free in the air and dries quickly. Yes, the Aquis is more expensive than the Aquabella, but the Aquabella has strong, noxious chemical odor.

Long Lasting Spa Quality... WASHABLE !!! WINNER!!!!!
LOVE IT!!! I use to be a skin care consultant many years ago and thought I was informed on most cleaning brushes and cloth's. BUT, I broke my shoulder and lost my range of motion, to wash my back. As I could not use the wooden soft bristle back brush I had at the time. I needed something long enough for me to be able to use with out much extention on that arm. I had used the ayate cloths as I had several really large ones, that I could hold a end in each hand that reached across my back, but needed to be able to not just exfoliate but gently scrub my back. That was easy to apply soap to. This was Magic. It worked great. One side is super soft, The other side has a tighter long stiffer thread to it so it has the ability to leave my skin feeling vibrant, it's has the result of feeling like a soft luffa, do to the dense looped longer threads on one side AHH...my own personal back scrubber. Gentle and massaging. I have never had a completely cloth scrubber that both gently washed and also massaged my back. I can wash with the softer side and then just flip it over to get a nice massage, the rope handles are thick and soft to hold. The actual cloth part is 31 inches on mine and add in the soft rope handles and it measures a total of 36 inches. So adapts to short, tall, big and small. I have been able to either hang it from my shower caddy or fold it and drape it over the hot and cold handles after each use and it ready for my next shower. Being able to throw it in the washer with some vinegar and soap It comes out fresh . I have had this one for over 6 months washing it at least every week and sometimes more, Not a hanging thread, its still strong and soft, it hasn't curled up on its self. Looks like new. I have raved about this to everyone. The more I use it the more I love it. It is well made, long lasting and the best back scrubber I have ever used. I would of never found this if I had not been unable to use my go to products. I am so glad I tried this.

Does what it was meant to do.
This is a high quality item. One side is a pretty rough surface that you only have to apply slight pressure to exfoliate your back. The other side is similar to a wash cloth. I have not had any problems with the handles coming apart, but I could see someone having problems if they pull on them with more pressure than necessary to get the job done. Cons: Getting soap on its surface! This is a long strap and you have to spend some time applying soap to its surface prior to use. It is a very long strap. I am a 5'4" woman and getting this strap behind my back and holding the handles is awkward - takes some coordination and practice. Sometimes I wish for a simple brush - seems like that would be a lot easier! Pros: High quality, serves its purpose - it will exfoliate your back and with too much pressure could be maybe remove more than dead skin! I have not had any problems with mildew; I hang this from a plastic hook in my shower. It dries nicely. No odors, no mildew - look new and ready for the next use. Would I purchase it again? I am on the fence with this one. I might have been happier with a brush, but with a brush I might not have been able to get the exfoliation that I am getting with this strap.

changed the way I shower
I love this. I've had trouble areas with acne and oily skin on my back, so I thought I'd give this a try when I saw it on sale one day. I am unbelievably glad I did. It's one of the best little shower items I've ever owned - not that there's lots of competition as I'm usually just a bar of soap, lather and rinse kind of guy, but this revolutionized my shower. I use it to scrub my back, and also the undersides of my feet as they get pretty grungy and callused. This works great on both areas. The loafa side scrubs it all down and the soft reverse side is good for just polishing my back - which sounds weird, I know, but it really makes it feel awesome and so much cleaner. I'm not lying, this is one of my favorite purchases in years. My only negative I could give was that it took some time to figure the best way to use it, and at first it would often flip from smooth to scrubby side by accident. But once I figured out the right approach, it was great. Not sure about the reviews concerning a cheap knock-off. I don't honestly know if mine is one or not, as I really didn't buy for a name or even know specifically what I was getting. But I can say mine seems good quality, has held up over 4 months so far with no wear, the rope handles are solid and, again, show no signs of wear or tearing; and the thing plain works, with bars of soap, body wash, or lotion.

Great product.
There are many types of loofahs, mitts and even brushes available on the market for exfoliating your back, but I have never been entirely happy with those types of products. It is often difficult to cover your whole back efficiently, or to avoid aggravating your skin with a product that is too rough. You also tend to end up with strained arms trying to reach those hard to reach places! A little short of a couple of years ago, I saw the Aquis Back Scrubber advertised on Amazon.co.uk and decided to give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised with my purchase and I think that the key is the design of the product. It has a generous length and in combination with the loop on each end, it allows you get a really proper grip. The strip itself is not too wide (which prevents it folding over on itself) and the material is flexible so it can be moulded quite comfortably around your features. It is also double sided, with a more coarse material on one side (my favourite) and a more gentle on the other. It does take a little practice to learn how much pressure to apply and it is probably easier to use in a shower as you can balance better while standing. I generally tend to soak it a little before use and to use it with shower gel to help it glide. I also rinse it with hottish water directly after each use, but this product can also be cleaned in a washing machine which means it is very hygienic. As for negatives, none at all really excepting the fact that the coarse side can be quite abrasive if you are too enthusiastic, but that is more down to my own technique! I have since bought a number of backups from Amazon.com in case the product was discontinued and I wouldn't be able to get it again. Overall I am very happy with the back scrubber and I would have no problem recommending it. A great product at a very reasonable price, well designed and made of good materials. Definitely a happy customer.

Not Quite What I Was Hoping For . . .
I didn't really understand this thing. It does have a nice exfoliating material and feels well-made, but it has so much surface area and is so thin I couldn't get it to lather very well. It also stretches (and gets heavy) when wet so holding it by the handles while bathing with it felt like it was going to rip. It's really long and didn't function well for me as anything other than the back scrubbing part, and even that wasn't ideal. Again, when wet it stretches, so it didn't feel like I was getting quite the leverage. I was hoping to be able to replace my loofa with this, but that didn't happen. I just couldn't figure out how to effectively and efficiently use this thing. It took up a lot of space in my bathroom and didn't allow me to get rid of anything in its place. This is probably a 2-star item for me, but I'm bumping it up to 3 for two reasons: (a) the possibility that I might have just not understood how to properly use it, and (b) the material quality and craftsmanship did feel pretty good despite the change in cloth dynamics while wet. Anyway, not for everyone. Certainly wasn't for me.

Well Made and Efficient
I purchased mine in 2017 and have used it consistently since, it is working as it is supposed to and doesn't show any signs of falling apart yet. I like the option of a more and less coarse texture depending on the side you use. I figure this item deserves a review after 8 or 9 years of use.

Wow....6+ years?
I just verified how long it's been since I took a chance on this back scrubber strap and I was surprised. 6 years and about 3 months! I'm ordering a body scrubber (trying it anyway) and thought about my back scrubber strap of which the rope handles finally came off 2 or so years ago. (No big deal, I just hold the ends with better control than the straps) I'm going to order another of these while I'm ordering something new for me, a body scrubber. I still to this day use this back scrubber strap, without the handles, and it still works. That said, I'm sure it's warn out, but it's kept my back healthy and feeling great, after-all, sometimes we guys don't worry about things like that since we can't see it. We can feel the difference thought, big time. Part of the reason I'm getting a hand, body scrubber is because I fund myself folding this back scrubber up and trying to use it that way on the rest of me. It works, sort of, but not easy. It's old and worn enough that it's pretty gentle where gentle is critical, if you know what I mean. ;^) I thought I'd toss in my 2 cents on this as I came across it, because there's so many men's grooming "tools" and so many are gimmicks. This strap, kind of soft loofa like material (but never has gotten moldy or smelly) has my back.........seriously healthier and cleaner that ever. We may not realize it, but for most men, if we don't clean out backs like this, we get pimples etc. that sometimes we never do more than reach as far as we can, and the rest just gets rinsed and wiped with a towel. If that's you still (or your man) get something and use it and find out how great it feels to be clean, and in general, just feels clean. I'm not getting anything for this review, and it's 100% truth that I just placing an order and it dawned on my to check to see if these were still around. That's when I found out how long it had been. Mine still works, but I have no doubt a new one will be better.

Love the 2 sides of this back scrubber!!
Love this!! Best if used with a bar soap. I tried with liquid soap but it took too much to get it soapy enough to glide across ur back. Bar soap uses less and gets this nice and soapy! I find most exfoliating back scrubbers too harsh for me and uncomfortable but this one is just the right amount of exfoliation. Not too much to where it’s uncomfortable and not too little to where it does nothing. I love that it gives you and option of a smooth side or an exfoliating side. Most scrubbers only give you exfoliating. The smooth side is great to use too.

dommage
Pratique mais dommage que le coté rapeux ne le soit pas plus . Mais sympa quand meme . Il manque tout de meme un peu de rigidité

Great back scrubber
This is a great back scrubber. I am able to reach all of my back and this is so much easier than the awkward handled back scrubbers. There is a soft and rough side. The rough side gives the perfect scrub without feeling too abrasive. Leaves you feeling fully fresh and clean.

unwirksam
