Great range hood that suits the requirements of our kitchen. Looks great and works great as we've already installed it. Light is a bit dim, but overall we're happy with this purchase. Shipping was a bit of a nightmare. This package kept being held by Putolator for reasons that were never explained, however, we kept receiving emails indicating that our action was required to get this package back on track!?!?!? ! It did arrive on the latest possible date specified by Purolator. Product itself, is a very nice upgrade for our kitchen and looks great with our flat black cabinet hardware and accents. Price is great!

CONTRARY to some of the reviews I read ..it is quiet, powerfull enough and very easy to install. For the price well worth it. Only drawback is price of replacement filters...shop around. .

In the kitchen where the hood was installed, the previous owners had mounted a large microwave right above the stove. Too close to the stove top and a dangerous place for that particular unit. We decided that a conventional cooker hood that vented internally would be a better option. The price of this particular model was competitive with others on the market, but we were looking specifically for a black one to match the stove. Installation took a fair amount of time as this was an under-cabinet mounting. As the cabinet had a recessed bottom we had to cut some wood pieces and secure them in the recess so that the hood had a flat surface to which it could be screwed. Originally we were looking at placing the screws so that the hood could be lifted up and then slid into place through key-hole slots, but then decided that using other slots on the roof of the cooker hood, we could just screw the hood into place, bypassing the key-hole slots. This proved to be a simpler method of fixing the hood in place. The finished installation looked great. The unit does NOT come with a cable so that you can connect the wiring to a socket or power box. I presume this was because different people would need different connections. In our case there was a socket in the cupboard above the hood so we had to make our own wire and plug connection to the wiring inside the hood, using marettes. Our wiring went through an existing hole in the bottom of the cupboard and from there to the power socket inside the cupboard. The instruction sheets provided are adequate but covered a variety of different models so you need to highlight the sections relevant to the hood that you buy. (We added the white corner tab in the picture is to help avoid hitting one's head on the corners.)

I’ve been using this range hood for quite a while, and it has been very reliable. It still works great, the fan does a good job helping remove cooking odors and steam, and I haven’t had any problems with it. It has held up well with regular use and has never stopped working. I also like the simple design because it looks clean in my kitchen and is easy to wipe down. If you’re looking for a dependable range hood that does its job without any issues, this has been a great choice for me.
