This is an incredible wireless microphone kit. I’m honestly blown away by how well it performs. No show-stopping complaints here—this is as close to plug-and-play perfection as it gets. 🔌 App Not Required – Huge Win First and most importantly: the app is 100% optional. This was crucial for me. Many modern devices force app reliance, which can hurt the user experience if the app is buggy or lacks features. With the Lark MAX 2, everything works flawlessly without needing the app. Big plus! 🎯 Purpose I bought the Lark MAX 2 Combo for use with my Sony A6400 while filming an indie movie. I needed reliability, clean audio, and quick setup. This will also be used for interviews and other creative projects going forward. So far, it’s exceeded my expectations. 🎬 Performance & Compatibility Works seamlessly with both my Sony A6400 and iPhone 16 Pro. Setup was true plug-and-play — no issues connecting. The receiver shoe fits snugly on my A6400. It feels secure and stable. Mic quality is crisp and professional. Far better than I anticipated. Features like mono/stereo modes, AI background noise removal, and low-cut filter offer fantastic flexibility. Internal recording is a game-changer — simple to use and incredibly useful for backup or syncing in post. 💡 Lessons Learned / Things to Know You cannot connect the mics to the camera receiver and USB-C receiver simultaneously. The included travel bag has a strong plastic smell — the typical “toxic” odor from certain manufactured plastics. If you're using a camera cage, be aware the camera shoe mount won't fit properly. The cage interferes with the receiver. The receiver’s cold shoe isn’t adjustable, so while it fits my Sony snugly, it may not fit all camera shoes securely. Navigating the receiver’s menu is essential. Every setting affects your audio significantly—take time to learn it. When accessing internal recordings on a computer, avoid USB hubs. My computer didn’t recognize the files until I connected directly to a USB port. ✅ Final Thoughts This is a premium wireless mic kit with incredible value for content creators, filmmakers, and interviewers. Hollyland really nailed the functionality, compatibility, and audio quality. And best of all—you don’t need an app to get the most out of it. Highly recommended.

Honestly, the Hollyland Lark MAX 2 might be my favorite gear purchase in a while. I've been using it for content creation and video work and the audio quality is just phenomenal — clean, clear, and surprisingly noise-free even in less than ideal environments. It also works great with my camera AND my phone, which is super convenient when I need to switch between setups. I would have said 4.75, but it isn't available. The sound is better than most for its price. Controlling the booming of your voice will take a little while to figure out. Never that studio podcast sound I am looking for.... though I have been playing around with it. Works well when the receiver is placed on a mounting shoe, but buttons everywhere, so removing it to charge is frustrating because you have to readjust all of your settings just trying to get it off the shoe. lol All of the features that come with it are helpful. I didn't need the extra mic ( transmitter), but I got it for the charging station and the additional receiver for phone as well. It delivered within a normal shipping period. I feel as a prime user, things should be priced better not more expensive to cover the free shipping. Being loyal in itself should offer incentives to buy. This seller made sure i got what I paid for. I trust this seller and the choice of products they sell. I also loved the user videos!

I use these for professional video recording and they sound absolutely great. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was for the following reasons: 1) They made the mics smaller from the previous generation and moved to a different type of clip. This in itself isn't a massive deal breaker. The problem is for the talent to attach the mic to their person they have to grip the mic where the buttons for record and active filter are located. They were constantly disarming the mics and I would have to manually rearm them via the transmitter. 2) The case they give you is weak. The previous generation case was a really nice rugged carrying case. All they give you is a canvas case that doesn't hold your stuff in place very well. 3) 32 bit float only works internally on the mics themselves or if you have an iPhone with supported app. Android users are sol if they want to connect the transmitter and get 32 bit float

So easy to use maybe a bit high price but I have no room to talk because I’ve never ordered anything like that. Sound is great from what I think, doesn’t come off when playing or running very stable. So definitely worth a buy!

The display on the Receiver has a major flaw. It does not show the correct real-time volume level. Hollyland tech support acknowledges the bug but still doesn't have a fix yet.

High quality, sturdy and excllent sound.

I thought this was going to be better than version one. But apparently version one is better than version two. I'm a wedding DJ in for ceremonies I have to mic up my efficient groom where not even in range of the receiver. when my clients get in range of the receiver it does not automatically connect. terrible because the first one I had no problems with other than I couldn't change the battery myself in the mics transmitter.

Very well made, still yet to test them out more.

I ordered this microphone set for my partner to use as he is the singer in a band and wanted something that could record his vocals for him to play back and give himself feedback. The sound quality is really excellent and with the AI noise cancelling it comes out so crisp and deep you can really hear all the little intricacies. They're really easy to set up and compact too for fitting into his microphone bag or a flight case etc. They are also light to wear and connect easily to a phone. I cannot think of a single negative point about these and they have really improved his rehearsals.
