Item arrived and I had it installed in less than 5 minutes. Only needed a phillips screw driver to fix it. The fan now runs on all speeds again.

Bad resister or not compatible with my HVAC system.
2004 Dodge Ram Quadcab Dually. My blower motor would only work on the highest setting. I installed this restister. It fixed the issue for a little while. I popped this in, went to pick my daughter up from work 8 miles away, no traffic. It shorted out in the parking lot waiting for her to come out. . Had to put the blower back on high. This resister worked, but was a little different. The advertisement states it is compatible with my truck make, model, year. My resister has a metal retangular box shield surrounding it with copper I guess you'd call them electrodes, heat sink? sticking out of the metal shield. So I orderd the resister that has the shield like mine. When it arrived I popped it in and it's been working fine ever since. This resister when I removed it had a dark heat mark in the white part of the resister block. I'm guessing that's where it shorted out. Easy to install, but didn't work for my vehicle.

Good replacement part
Works for 08 ran 2500 crew cab. Didnโt help that the motor was shot. Highly recommend replacing both at the same time.
