Chromebook Plus CX34 Everyday Value 14.0" Touchscreen FHD Display (Intel i3-1215U, Intel UHD, 8GB LPDDR5, 128GB SSD, Backlit KB, WiFi 6, Webcam, Bluetooth 5.4, Chrome OS (Renewed)

I bought this used CX34 about 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my 3 year old Samsung chromebook. The Samsung with its celery processor just couldn't handle even my lite duty usage. It couldn't do zoom calls at all! The Asus chromebook plus handles all my normal uses with ease. My uses include web browsing, using Google docs, reviewing news articles and weekly Zooming. It runs as fast as any Windows Mac desktop that i have used. But, according to reviews this chromebook would not be the best choice for gaming or serious photo work. Battery life is just OK. In standby mode with lid closed it loses about 7-8% per day which I consider good, similar my Android tablet and my wife's iPad. In light to moderate use probably good for 7-8 hrs. But the real test is Zooming where it uses 65% for a 2 hrs session. This is so so, adequate for my needs. My Android and iPad used about 50% in these sessions. I would probably dock it a half star for the battery. Don't know if it a new version would be better or not. Otherwise, keypad, track pad,and touchscreen would well. Screen is plenty bright for inside usage. Overall good buy so far.

Arrived looking brand new. I’ve had Chromebooks in the past, but I have always been disappointed and would tend to keep my distance due to lack of speed, storage, screen vibrance, and overall lack of responsiveness. This Chromebook, however, changed that. It’s super snappy quick with the Intel i3 and 8GB of RAM. It has plenty of storage, so I can finally use the Linux feature. I downloaded the Linux version of Firefox and it ACTUALLY loads. I can play games on it smoothly like Minecraft and other Android games with no issues. (I believe this Chromebook actually supports Steam, but I haven’t tested it.) The battery life has been great. The touchscreen is super responsive, however a little awkward since the screen doesn’t fold all the way back, but it’s there if needed which is nice. It also has an amazing backlit keyboard. I love typing on it. The trackpad is also smooth and plenty large enough. The build material feels really nice and It’s got a nice weight to it, but also nothing crazy. It just feels premium for a Chromebook, if that makes sense. I’m very glad I got this and at such a good price!

Buy with confidence, this chromebook provides and excellent value.

Died after 7 months. This is the 2d refurb ASUS from Amazaon that died prematurely. I would never buy another refurb without an extended warranty.

This is the first refurbished Chromebook I've bought in the past decade. Cosmetically, it's as if it's brand new. The only way I could tell it had been used is the battery life is only around 4-5 hours. Though TBF that may have to do with something in the settings I use. For me, that's not an issue as the only places I use it allow me to connect to a charger, which I do when the battery status drops to 20%. So this is perfect for my needs, and a bargain price compared to the C434 Flex 2-in-1 it's replacing.

Nice chromebook

I purchased this Asus to replace a similar Lenovo that was having keyboard issues. I am a very loyal to Lenovo and struggled making a decision to switch to Asus. I actually like the Asus more than my old Lenovo. The backlit keyboard is brighter and easier to see and the Asus has charging ports on both sides. I don't know why someone didn't come up with that sooner. The Asus is running smoothly and responds quickly. I would recommend this computer

* Christine's husband here * My other Chromebook had gone past security updates so it was time to get a new one. I mostly play app games watch Netflix or Amazon Prime. I have been extremely happy with this performance. I love the plethora of USB and HDMI ports. I am very happy with my purchase at this point. The only tiny negative is I can't find a keyboard cover fitted for it. I always like to have a keyboard cover but that's not the fault of the tablet
